A Starchild story for you....
My very first post on JamiroTalk [BTW, great forum].
Travolta, Bee gees, yes, but some Neneh Cherry, some George Benson, even some (good) George Michael... SOME SERIOUS FUNK & GROOVE in fact. My favorite, and probably the most consensual song of this brilliant album. Plus, it is also a bit religious with this Jesus / Messiah stuff...
All good ingredients for a hit!

my starchild story
this is the name of track wich i have fallen in love with, since the first time i read it i was so it will be one of my favorites on dynamite, and it is! i absolutely love it.
i still don't know the meaning of some of the words but my interpretation of the song is more of a critic to the religions and a believe in our own "earthly power"(or galactic power this time), as the starchild is the new evolution of the human (the superman) on Jay's favorite movie (and one of mines) 2001: a space odyssey.
like the liberation of the body as evolution on this scinence fiction movie, i think the mental liberation of thinking in a god, and knowing you as the only one with power in your existence could be the filosophical and real evolution for the humans.
for those who don't know the film or didn't understood a shit viewing it (like me) i give you this interesting link (that i already mentioned) where explains it all, hope you see it and think on the relation with the song.
