Hmmm....I guess it's more logic to think that Radio is the rocky track...but that might just be a trap Rolling Eyes ....cause smooth disco funk is what we SHOULD be hearing on the radio. Mr. Green

Hello there

Short names to remember, and I do believe is just coincidence the 'Radio' songs... I mean, what? Sony said to Jay: "Hey man write a song called Radio like that Robbie dude so we can sell more, people will remember that track", NO WAY, Jay is tired enough to keep adapting to what Sony wants.

I hope they are great songs, both.

buffaloman_R Hello again, buffaloman_R

Very Happy Hehe, looks like my logic actually was right, the Official Site confirmed the following about what the sound will be like for both new songs Very Happy :

Runaway = Smooth Disco Funk | 12.08.2006

Thanks to everyone who voted and posted comments on the Jam Party People forum over recent days regarding what you think Runaway will sound like - well, it looks like most of you thought it was "smooth disco funk" and you were not wrong.

Runaway is indeed described by the band as "smooth disco funk", and Radio is "a raucous raw rocky track".

That is good news, I can already see me dancing like a "Drunken President" around the room to these new bits of Jamiroquai music! Anyway, thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Hello. Columbia is a sub-company of Sony so this is nothing new. The Columbia thing was announced already on spring 06.

Looking at how things develop themselves today, with $-$-$-$ony being involved in songwriting, I expect the songs to be disappointing, but what else can you expect from a $ony employee who's a natural anti-talent when it comes to poetry?

Hell, Sony, let Jay write his own songs. Give him some air too - he's not a dog to be on a leash.

buffaloman_R Hello yet again, buffaloman_R

Rolling Eyes Well, I'm sorry to say Knjaz, but ALL contracted musical artists are metaphorically "on leashes", so there is little artists can do to fight back, ONLY when it close to the end of their contractual agreements Rolling Eyes . But I think Sony didn't have any part with the compositions of new songs, the band write new music on their own, Sony is too busy designing and contemplating on how much profit they can skim off the releases when their music is finished and ready for the mixing chopping block. But Jamiroquai will grow and blosseum after this large chapter of their history with Sony is closed forever. Hopefully on a "independant route", rather shackling themselves to another large label, but again, that's my personal wish. Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Has Sony or anyone from Jamiroquai actually said there are going to be TWO singles from the Greatet Hits (sorry, I'm a little late on this thread)? I'm saying this because it's not uncommon for artists to include more than one new song in compilations but to release only one of them. Having a new song on the GH pack NOT released as a single (or included in a single) actually forces people to buy the record. I wouldn't be surprised if just one of the songs got released.
