Thanks for all the fun, Steve. Rest in peace. We'll miss you.

Condolences to his wife and children.

Dang - they were saying this morning that there has only been 17 deaths worldwide from stingray barbs.

Much love and prayers to his wife and two little ones. Crazy!

In Australia there's only been 2 other recorded deaths from stingrays, and Steve was the third - so sad Sad Sad Sad

They're saying on the news today that they'd like to do a state funeral (only a select few can get these funerals), but they want to talk to his family first to see what they'd like to do. My thoughts and prayers are with his family now, they must be going through so much pain Sad Sad Sad

requiescant in pace, Steve..

i saw tonite on the news that the moment when the stingray is killing him was recorded by the camera (since they were recording a tv special)
the record is in the police's hand (and i hope no one steals it and puts it online; that'd be VERY disrespectful)

I watched the interview with his wife last night...man, that was sad.

His daughter Bindi is just beautiful. Her speech at his funeral was touching and so cute. She is going to have her own show "Bindi, the Jungle Girl", because his wife says she carries the same passion as Steve for the animals.

And the video of him getting killed is never going to be played to the public says his wife and camera man. She also said that Steve wanted to keep his plans for his body secret when he died, although I thought I heard he was buried at the zoo. She wouldn't confirm it.

It was sad watching that last night. Dang...
