i love this forum because it doesn´t matter where u are from..but of course u want to know if there are any other fans of your region..it´s just great to meet at concerts then ...i always was looking for austrian jamiroquai fans..i shortly even registered in some local radio chats but just gave it up....hey..if i would have austrian fans i would never gone to london maybe...it´s great to have international fans  this makes it really interesting and a very cosmic experience 
the funny thing is that little h met austrian fans at the concert in dubai and gave them my mail..so i do know now an austrian fan..kinda crazy isn´t it?...
and yes..i am the only austrian fan in the forums..and i am proud of it!

How's this for random... I log into this site for the first time in 3-4 months (and before then, it hadn't been for a year), and I see a thread of someone deciding to remember us. Woohoo.
The Aussies On The Attack gang, which constituted Catman, todd_15, Jay88 and myself, were on here. For a while. Then, after some weird weird actions by others on this board, we flew the coop early/middle of last year and Mike (Catman), in glorious fashion (and I am eternally thankful for his friendship), set up JamiroX.
I was more than ready to have 2 'spritual online Jamiroquai homes', as I was a "moderator" on here (with no powers whatsoever)... but there seemed to be alot of angst among members at that time. For example, FRA baby wasn't happy with people on this forum, and suffice to say, vice versa.
I then made a post asking the members of JamiroX about why (exactly) they were on JamiroX as opposed to Jamirotalk... and some people posted back on the forum, while others merely talked to me about it on MSN. But then funkmaster decided to let fly at me, saying that it was unheralded for me to say that and I was no longer needed (wanted) on this board. I was kicked off the "Moderators" board (note the inverted commas) in funkmaster's fit of Germanic rage, and was ostricised from this board. Uh, thanks guys.
I've now finished school and am into uni, and have got out under the rock of Jamiroquai and realised all is not good with the band, and have had a somewhat large revitalization of my musical interests... I mean, the new album sounded crap and plastic, the new singles sound like a synthesized cat being shot at, and the live performances have lost their midas touch. Not good is it???
I once loved Jamiroquai and the fanbase, but now it is seems alot of the board are just focused on "the good old days" of this once-mighty band and clinging onto any good news... even though the thought among most people that Jamiroquai is a good band is now shot. Jamiroquai has lost it. Sorry.
Anyways, here's where the awesome foursome have gone/where they are at now:
1. todd_15: Had some school troubles and family issues.... went to Mexico and is now back, better than ever! Back @ school, still in Byron, all is good in his world.
2. Jay88: Wouldn't have a clue where he is.
3. Me: Finished school, @ uni, loving Chemical Brothers, The Cat Empire and U2, but have moved on.
4. Catman: Still up to his old tricks, haha.
But yes, we have all moved on from here. There are some people who I will never forget: Catman (obviously), Yvie (absolute A-Class long-distance friend, beautifully graced with an envious legend status), Marina (from MySpace, you rock!), FRA (enough said), CosmicMouse and CosmicBear (you rock this forum), todd (obviously), ophone (for your stupidly stupid debates), and that's about it.
Oh, and guys, please learn some forum manners!

EDIT: Saw a grammar mistake... and that reminds me, some people on this board need a lesson in learning how to spell, and some of you really need to stop mis-interpreting things. Like the time I asked what the official language on this board was (English), and FunkEd called me racist. You're the one who lives in Venezuela...... haha. |
