i been thinking on this
first of all, it's true that we don't have to trust in this newspapers....
but if jay is really thinking on doing a jazz album....with his mum....what kind of jazz will be?
i love jazz, there are lots of varieties of it but i don't dig the singed jazz, is my least favorite.
anyway i'm sure i will like what jay do with this, i'm sure he knows how to mix a good singed jazz, with funk, acid jazz or other musical styles.
also it must be great to listen derrick, sola, rob, paul and matt playing jazz, i hope they work with him _________________

I agree with you, Inaki... I remember Prince doing some crazy stuff after breaking up a stressful relationship with Warner Bros in the mid '90s. When you wanna express yourself musically without any control in the back, after such a "starving" period (which I mean musically) like Jay had with Sony, well, I'm a bit suspicious... I wouldn't like a pure jazz/swing album.. |

...but he was also nominated for Grammy Award for the best Jazz Album in 2003 with his N.E.W.S. (North, East, West, South) album! And my most popular album by Prince - The Rainbow Children has the most jazz feelings in his "funk" discography. Also the One Nite Alone tour which was full of jazz elements is most popular of NPG era in fan community.
I hope Jay can do something like that... |

I'm sure I read something about Jay wanting to do an album of jazz standards ages ago, and he shelved the idea because Robbie Williams got in before him with his Swing When You're Winning thing...
Some original jazz stuff could be cool I reckon. _________________

I know exactly what you're talking about, Tlum (although I don't dig N.E.W.S.). ONA is really the masterpiece . I was thinking of Emancipation, Chrystal Ball, Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic... |

Oh, I was thinking of Kamasutra (jazz) or The Truth (acoustic) from the Cristal Ball era. They are different from CDs he had released before. Had no success but I like them both. |

Don´t you remember, Maru, the chat about Jazz Kay that we had in "Cielito Lindo"???
I think that it could be interesting a jazz project of Jay. We must wait and see.. |

i cant agree with you all! youre all saying "amazing" but come back to earth!
late 2007???
insane!
"but i like it"
crap!
i dont need a "but i like it"-album!
i need a "i love it"-album.
come on jamiroquai what is going on???
i hope that they´re making a good album. and i hope they dont stay in uk during teir tour!
since the dynamite album i started to think "i hope they can do this better"
maybe this is the last chance for them. they should use it wisely...
just a message to the band:
please dont make a track like runaway again! the remix from gran nelson was better than the original... this is sad for jamiroquai! _________________ maxud braucht funk food denn dann bleibt maxud maxud
