ooh i think he's gonna get hammered as he has a whole store of copies maybe?
this is comletely ilegal and i don't think ive ever seen anyone be so stupid as to sell a whole catalogue on ebay!
i think you have been very unfortunate here inaki considering how many legitamate dvd's of high times on ebay that are on sale for a reasonable price.

Haha, I have a pirate TROTSC CD-R that has most of the sound on its left stereo channel, lacks some frequencies (?), and adds a gunshot (!) to the end of JAS. The gunshot sounded familiar, and after a little search in my music library, I found out that the gunshot is from a Michael Jackson song called "D.S."

Report the seller to eBay and PayPal. And if you used a credit card to pay through PayPal you should contact the credit card company. If PayPal only will refund a part I'm pretty sure the CC company will refund the rest.
I don't know about you... but I would probably send a link for the auction to Sony BMG and this link as well. I'm the vindictive type...

i will try to contact ebay and paypal to get my money back and to ban that user from ebay.
i don't think i will report sony bmg, they also stole so much money from the artists and fans...hehehe, i tihnk it's ebay who should do it if they want...

I cant really help you with the comparison thing, as I have the US version,
and I see you already got a lot of help already.
but as a an alternative to buying the DVD from ebay all together, I spotted, a great deal at www.buy.com
I dont know about the region thing either but maybe this helps,

today i got an email from paypal, telling that after checking this case, i won it, and they will refund all my money.
i'm glad it works fine, now i need to buy a real oficial high times dvd
