Great post Deesha. I'd like to add more that sometimes written words sounds different from spoken words, it's very hard to get the real meaning sometimes and to fall into misunderstanding and flames.

I never got upset about somebody correcting any misinformation and false assumptions. I just asked for a few photos, and there they were, like mad dogs with all the fangs and teeth, ready to slaughter me.

You know, I'm a total faliure at things sometimes. Most of the time, the problem is me (or so everybody else tells me), but when somebody or something else most obviously is the source of the problem, and I tell somebody about it, most, if not all of those people turn around and treat me as if they're gonna eat me this instant just for complaining, unless it's something really serious. I don't know how to point out a problem, and if I actually do, I get "murdered" for either 'intrusion' (any kind of, really) or 'stacking my own problems onto somebody else's back'. I usually get help from somebody when it's already too late, as my father and the rest of my family insist that I do everything by myself... And how, exactly?

True. But then again, the Jamily is so much more than your regular band fandom. I mean, you people get to know each other in real life, get to go places together, something I've never been able to. I rarely even get to meet, or even talk with people, as my father thinks I'm some sort of a retard and am not for the public eye or something... I've never even caught a slight glimpse of what's beyond this filthy little shithole I call my 'hometown'. Thanks for all the support and all, but I really think I need some time off off practically anything. I didn't ahve a fucking stressless day for the last 8 months, and then people expect me not to spit into their face, literally. First they're being the biggest jackasses to me, and then they start telling me 'to calm down'... I'm starting to become full of hate towards people. It's true, even my mother said that recently... |

Unless there were posts that were deleted, there is no 'they' in this matter. I just went to that topic and only one person replied negatively, so maybe you should just take it up with him.
Total failure at some things...we all are. I can guarantee that not everyone in here has the best social skills in the world, me included and especially those that have to communicate in English - but they do a good job. I haven't witnessed you asking for help and getting murdered per se. I guess I didn't read those topics. Like I said before, we can't tell the tone of someone behind the screen.
If you need help with something Jamiroquai or non-Jamiroquai related, you can always express that on here. If not in a specific topic, than in the 'Canned Heat' section, which allows us to just babble, vent or ask sporatic questions in hopes that someone can help us. Check the topic out.
About the Jamily - you are right. We are a bit different and have met each other in real life...but at the end of the day, we all have our own lives. There are those I call friends from here...those that I've met on numerous occasions. Then there are those I have never met and honestly could care less about their opinion of me. When you meet someone in person, you find sometimes they are completely different than their online persona - some are same. I am blessed that I am of age to afford to do such things like fly to London for Lovebox to meet other fans. Maybe you haven't been able to meet other fans right now, and that's okay. Just don't count it out for the future. I'm not sure how old you are, but once you get of legal and independent age, get a job where you earn your own money and put travelling on your list of things to do. You have Jamily in many countries that will show you around and such. Make a goal to get out of your 'shithole' town to visit the next country over. Just keep working towards seeing more outside of Serbia.
In order to get through life, we all have to depend on someone along the way, so I think when your parents say 'by yourself', they mean just you becoming more in control of your life and becoming independent.
Take some time off if you need it. Your love of music...can you turn that into some kind of hobby or something positive or useful to deter the negativity and hate you feel?
Don't let one person, two people or the actions of them determine how you feel about your life. Unless you respect and know the person, I wouldn't take their opinions of you to heart.

maybe you just need some more self-confidence caused by some private problems you have.
youre a really intelligent boy. but why sould you think that we all hate you?
you made many interesting topics like at the moment you colour-topic (one hour to write it???) or what about the "candyman-topic"?
dont take us serious when we write sometimes things that maybe hurted you. we writed them not to hurt you just because we think that its amazing that such a young boy writes so intelligent and interesting things.
ok you made some topics that shocked us
for example the topic about the photo from your birthday party (do you remember?).
we dont wanted to say that youre stupid we only wanted to say that its wrong to hate your parents.
i think you asked me a time before this question if here are some people that dislike you... but how can they do this? they still dont know you

my advice is.. dont take internet 'life' too serious. if you are experiencing problems at your house or whatever (like we all do), try to go out to nature maybe, and get in touch with the things that make you feel good. music, literature, friends, sports, animals, etc., and try to enjoy life.. internet's not real life you know, and if you are worried now because someone didn't reply at your topic, well, things will get harder for you, because you will have to face worst things in life than this. dont worry about minor things.. |

I was reading this all very interested and I got schoked while you said how your father talks about you...but still I have to believe to your version and I will!
If I'm not wrong you're in an age where parents get lost about who's the new person running in theyre house and you feel noone understand you ( which most of the time is real).
I will not say that all of this is because you have problems in the real life that make you unable to see other things in a positive way, but if you think about the persons who really matter for your life are those who loves you and stay close to you!
as other ppl said Interet is not all is not real life but is useless to say that we all have espectations torward our internet relations, me as first I spended 7 years reading all about JMQ but never had the courage to expose myself 'cause I was scared of how other ppl would treat me...and I was surprised!
What I'm trying to say is that even if internet is not important when other things goes wrongs we search care and appreciations in here, we all do, we are all scared of what "the world" may think of us even if we say we don't give a f***'cause we're human and we are sensible, so what we could do if the problem cames again is to be more direct and say it right in the moment!
I think Deesh and the others gave you great advices and that if we keep on screaming out we are a Jamily ( Jamiroquai family isn't it?) we should behave like that! so use us, maybe not all of us will listen/care or have time to help you but time after time you'll find friendly people that will do theyre best to let you feel less sad/depressed.
And stop saying you have mental problems even with a maybe before...you don't , you are a clever guy and courageous enought to say out loud something like this!

I haven't been as 'active' in Jamirotalk as I used to, but I must say I didn't see this coming.
Knjaz, I can assure that nobody hates you here. Sure, as Deesh's accurated posts say, nobody can get along with everyone so well, not in real life, imagine people from so many countries in an internet forum!
You know how many topics I started and nobody replied? That doesn't mean anything. I do understand, however, how some users in this forum can get a little irritating sometimes. But just ignore them. You have the tools to click where you want to read, where you want to go, and you got the administrators in here that can help you with it. But don't take it too seriously please. Like your posts express, there's like to much anger going on, and in here I should quote Maru's post in its entirely.
On a side-note, you write how you haven't met any other fan in real life. I haven't either, except for the jamily here in Argentina. We have our own little cosy meetings. In fact, after the 'explosion' of tours and concerts over Europe, Maru and I decided to make a step away, cause we felt there was like no room for non-european fans over the threads. I made this clear in private, and I just left the forum for a while. Now I'm (a little) back, and I still find the same great persons I knew. What I mean with this is that this forum isn't everything. Your 'shithole' or however you wanna call it, the way out isn't this forum, and not even those users you mentioned. Don't get too personal all what happens in here.
It's great, however, that you get to talk about it, perhaps we can help you somehow. And this is what the ""Jamily"" (fantasy name, so-called family) is for.

i'm agreed with you..
the thing is, we all think different, and we can crash because of that!
see, because of this phenomenon, my country is having a "pacific war" rite now cos the oldest and greatest TV station has been closed...
so, something like that is happening here...
we all think different.. that's all...
i also remember, Knjaz opened a topic in jam party people saying i was a bitch because i'm a extreme fan of Zender... and blah blah blah... what was the case of doing that?
you think different to me, and what did i do? nothing... i just accepted it and the topic dissapeared...
that's why some people here don't like you... you come and criticize others cos they like something... haha weird...

Well I Definately Don't hate u K.. I think your posts are Great!! I find them funny and entertaining, even if you don't intend them to be.!! I always check in on your posts if I see them, If i make fun and u take offense then that is something i have no control over you choose how you react so i can't do anything about that.. As long as u are aware .. I certainly never would intend to disrepect anyone in here without reason.. Again i will say i love to read your posts Knjaz so keep them up.. even this one is great!!!... take care..!x

Seriously, man, I was sick of how you just seemed to dislike the post-Zender bassists so much... Sure, I liked Zender's influence on the music, but you just took it too far, to an almost fanatical level. It's okay with me totally if you say that the post-Zender bassists are not as good as Zender himself, but if you start talking s*** about them, just like you did, don't try to shove the same shit down one's throat and into one's mind. It's just not right. |

there is a great rule in Interent...untill one does be respectfull he can say and thnk specially whatever he/she wants! Democracy, you can't blame people don't care of your posts if then you are the first not to let others free to express theyre own opinions!
Ok Ed is fanatic of Stu, so what? at the end of the day I'm pretty sure Paul has many others satisfations that he could even not care you know!!

haha i never said i hate the other bassplayers... i'm also a fan of them, its just that i don't believe their work is as great as Stu's one!
and yeh, i'm a fanatic of Stu Zender, wot can i do?
the thing is i never said Paul and Nick suck, you're wrong, i really love and admired nicks job and the work Paul is doing rite now with the band... ok, i criticize them but they're on my favs list!

exactly.... i saw it very stupid when i came to the official forum and he wrote that in that stupid topic, he also wrote it in white the topic was "dedicated" to me... and lucky him i never realized of that... i just thought it was a blank space before i quoted it and saw wot you said...

wow, I didn't knew this was happening.
-Nobody should "HATE" someone if only knows the other trough internet forum topics..
-You must have many many reasons to hate somebody...
-IF it's something personal try to talk the problem with people who "hates" you (PM, MSN etc), cause you may hurt some other people unnecesarily.
-You don't have to feel hated if a topic you openned does not get replies, or gets corrected, or whatever... are normal things in every forum. |
