True. But, both aren't black and unfortunately, prejudice is very, very, very alive today more against Blacks than Irish Catholics. That's a whole nother conversation that I certaintly wouldn't have on this forum
Okay, I'm outta here...have a good weekend all _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

The truth is there really are no great candidates!!!!!
It is like voting for the lesser of two evils!!!!!
When I voted this primary, John Edwards was still on the ballot, so I voted for him because like what he stands for, and he is kind of got the grassroots thing going for him.
I think both Hillary and Obama are both corrupt in thier own way. They are like the "Starbucks" of candidates. You can't ignore them, becuase they both put sooooo much money into thier campaigns, and I don't think that's really fair, I would vote for Ralph nader but, there just isn't enough delegates for him, so it would be a wasted vote in my opinion.
I definetly DO NOT want John McCain!!!!!!!!!!!! He is all about waging war!!!!!!!!!!
Please I hope the US dosent get another Bush Republican President!! |

Last night I got a special invite to sit in on forums with Democratic hopefuls, Obama and Clinton as the faith based community talked to them about global poverty, AIDS, climate, education for all and many other humanitarian issues. It was broadcast on CNN here and internationally.
I was 5 rows away from the candidates on the floor thanks to CARE (www.care.org). I plan on writing something about it when I get some time...we'll see! I didn't feel that the questions concerning global poverty, AIDS, federal assistance, etc. were fully talked about, but they were touched on. There were times when each talk got a little off track, and Hillary was sooooo long with her answers and quite boring. Obama mentioned empowering women and comprehensive sexual education when asked about abortion. He stated his was pro-choice, but wants both sides to come together in figuring out a way to avoid getting into the situation where they have to choose. Loved that answer.
The question about the USA's involvement in the Olympics was also brought up as a human rights issue considering China is the number ONE supplier of weapons to Darfur and their treatment of those in Tibet. Clinton says she urged President Bush not to go to opening ceremonies or show up to the Olympics this year. Obama was not asked the question.
I got to meet Obama briefly and all I said was 'Good Luck Senator'...and that was because someone behind me said it and I couldn't think of anything else to say.
I am at the 1:26 mark of this video. They will show a commercial on here first and then Obama starts talking. Look for me on the left side of the screen - grey and red striped shirt.

Anyway, gotta get to work - just wanted to share this!

Hello again,
I am proud to report that Democratic Candidate Illinois Senator Barack Obama is on his way to clinching the Democratic nomination tonight, many US media outlets report he is 10 delegates shy of the 2,118 needed for the nomination . Having overcome unfair "American Media sensationalizing" his middle name being "Hussien" to his family's religious relationship with Reverend Wright and his church, Barack is ready to bring America the "change" in Washington that is needed in this economically trying times in America, get us the hell out of Iraq, erase future "special interests" manipulations in the law making process, recommit the US Government to omitting our rampant and unsupervised military spending and reimburse the money back to the domestic policies: I.E. reinvest in bolstering Social Security/Medicare for future generations. It is also reported that Hillary Clinton will give a concession speech tonight to her supporters and rally the rest of them around Barack Obama. As for possible running mates for Obama, I would just bet it's a tie between Senator John Edwards or Activist Robert Kennedy Junior. Roll on November!
Sincerely,

He is now the Demcratic candidate for the US presidential election.
Let's hope he, the lesser evil, will win!

Bear - Depends on how much you'll pay me!
I don't know about him winning or not. I'd like to have hope and say that I hope the Independent Registered Voters (who couldn't vote in the primaries) will come out and vote for Obama in November. I also hope he picks a strong Vice President, and that they together can win over the Clinton base and some others.
Hope...hope..hope _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Isn't Hilary already smooching up to him to get a position with him? At least that's what they said on the news last night when I was driving home... _________________ Dear Auntie Em. Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog. Dorothy. x |

I found an interesting discussion about the people who are backing Obama, done by some people from the ats forum who did researches and found out connections.
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread360930/pg1
I am not saying this is the truth, but it is interesting to read and worth to dig deeper and do some more research.
Makes me wonder how much democratic the system is in fact and how much power games are happening in the background. And the question is: which interests will the future president really defend? Whose marionette will he be?
Ron Paul would have been an interesting candidate in my opinion...
