it was excellent as Fra says.
probably very similar to these upcoming Funk Affair gigs but without Paul & Hazel. It would be a bonus to hear Hazel's voice though on top of it all.
the most ameanable Funk Affair gig will probably be 14th Sept at Ronnie Scotts.
there are gigs for Real in Oct at Ronnie Scotts though and at Pizza Express Jazz Club in London.
The October gigs will probably showcase more of their new album which is long awaited now
however their new single - 'round & round' & tour dates are on Louise's Myspace http://www.myspace.com/louisepollockisreal _________________

Here's the link of the new Funk-Affair's page:
http://www.myspace.com/funkaffairuk
| Quote: |
| FUNK-AFFAIR! is the idea of REAL's Louise Pollock who recently has made a name for herself as one of the leading UK funk/soul singer-songwriters and with Winston Rollins, her partner in REAL, has achieved considerable critical acclamation. She enlisted the help of trumpeter Dan Carpenter and Jamiroquai's Derrick McKenzie to form the core of FUNK-AFFIAR! and now have a monthly spot at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club. This has proved a great success and has seen Louise bring in vocalist/percussionist Daniel Pearce along with various guest singers and musicians. |

The boys will be playing another gig on 14 September...
Funk Affair - a group featuring Jamiroquai band members Derrick McKenzie, Rob Harris and Paul Turner will be performing together this Sunday (14 September) at Ronnie Scotts club in London's Soho.
"Take a significant portion of Jamiroquai, add some funky REAL together with a dash of hot brass, mixed with some wicked surprises each month, and you have Ronnie Scotts new monthly Funk Night - FUNK-AFFAIR!"
For more information about Funk-Affair please visit the Ronnie Scotts website. They will also be performing on 5 October and on 9 November.
