 Hello,
 Wow, this is practically out of the blue, wasn't it ? Still was good to see Derrick do an interview, and on internet radio to boot, and FINALLY get some important confirmations/new developments on where Jamiroquai is sitting right now musically/record labelwise and others.  Thanks for the info Meike, as always, and please upload, however trimmed down as it is, that recording of the Derrick interview, when you can . Cheers!

This is amazing news!! I can't wait to hear the interview if it ever gets uploaded So I keep hearing about music that was played during the interview...just to be clear, this wasn't Jamiroquai's music was it? Haha, I'm guessing it was just background funk music or something. Anyway, 40 tracks? Wow. And I'm so glad that the album will be funky with strings and horns

I would seriously wait any amount of time to have a 40 track album, haha. Although I guess it's better to have those 40 tracks spread across several albums released a couple years apart.

damn i missed it . i was at my job during those hours . but let me ask you some questions guys:
did he say when the album was going to come out ?? at least the first single??
did he clarify about the 40 tracks ??? i mean 40 track in 1 album ???? or 40 tracks that maybe the half of them will be for the next next album???

I'm pretty sure 40 tracks they recorded, but only 12-13 will be on the album.
And luckily we'll get a few more in singles (ohhh those good old singles!) |

Spot on Dyego. They have done that for a couple albums. Record a ton of tracks and then they pick their favorites. Course they should put the ones that dont make on the album up on a site cos they would ALL be OUR favorites.

The first 15 minutes or so are missing, unfortunately the part where D mentioned the 40 tracks, I think... (it was a bit hectic here... me trying to get the recording programm working, the kids coming in, asking me stuff and so on... I haven't had a look on the site yet, if there is a streaming... if someone could find out, that would be great, so someone could safe the first missing part...?!)

I was spontaneously connected to the chatroom - when I noticed that they responded to my "hey Derrick" message I started to ask some questions.
The file is kinda big, because it's the whole show with music included (most of the tracks have been chosen by Derrick! Very funky groovy stuff!!)
Maybe someone has the time to seperate the interview for those who just wanna have the short version...
