I don't agree with Snorry about Jay and drugs. That being under drugs could make you do good music (something I doubt) is not a reason for saying that is not a good idea to see him giving up them.
I am not posting in this topic anymore, I don't like where is going to.

JK's sordid past with drugs and support

Well, Diego, JK has always supported the legalization of marijuana, one of those drugs that the governments of the world have to prove that it kills people. Also, remember JK admitted and rectified his addiction to cocaine during the "Syn" era, only reason he cleaned up was that the docter said he would lose his voice if he continued using it. But I can understand your feelings Diego, I lost my older brother to drugs, I don't like to talk about it, but my older brother died three years ago due to a heroin overdose. Me and him were never close, he was a idiot who abused his life with alcohol and drug abuse, and paid the ultimate price. Thanks for listening and Peace!

I think that hi is destroying his life completly,his life and the life of the band too. 
He is very lucky and he is waisting it.If he had left drugs, he provably would have get married,or he would have a girlfriend,but ...  it's very difficult to live with a person who consume drugs.

I´m of course not supporting or saying that drugs are good, but you´re blind if you don´t see that it´s part of the music bussines. Jay is absolutelly crazy, the guy is the best doing music but he´s getting crazy becouse of his cocaine habit (it goes straight to your brain. Beleave it or not, it ends for affect you). If he doesn´t give up drugs we´ll have jamiroquai for about 5 or 6 years the most (I´m sure that he´s gonna die becouse an overdosis or becouse a car accident), but, hey, if he stops doing great songs like high times or space cowboy becouse he gives up, I would prefer he didn´t.
About the weed legalization, I study medicin, and I can assure that it would make more trouble than solutions.
And i´m very sorry for your brother Bert. I didn´t know anything mate. |

I'm a bit lost as to the point of this latest discussion about JK and drugs.  You really have to have an informed view before talking about these things.
The bottom line is drugs f*ck you up badly.  You can already see very clearly the damage it they have done to JK can't you? So, I'd rather he didn't carry on so much. I agree with Diego here when he says "being under drugs could make you do good music is not a reason for saying that is not a good idea to see him giving up them."
Fair enough, drugs do give you inspiration, I can make sence of that. Fair enough the music and indeed all "celebrity" industries are full of drugs. That is no excuse or reason to snort yourself to death. (BTW, I don't think JK would have an overdose and die because of it, he knows his stuff very well). It is if JK continued with drugs (and I'm talking about HARD drugs here, I think a bit of weed now and then does you no harm) that would destroy Jamiroquai as we know it :|
I know a few people that have had "problems" with drugs. I can tell you, they wished they had never even touched a spliff or a line or a pill  I would not be surprised if JK thinks like that. You have the high times and the low times, but it's the low times that make life not worth living.
At the end of the day, it is JK's life and we shoudn't say "he must do this and that" and expect that to happen.

Nobodie should take drugs,and JK should leave them,
he have to do it!,it's his life but he's destroying it all with it.

Talks about the people are tired of this false promisses.
The new generation don't bealive on it and they are demanding from it. Where the pollitics , the powerfull man who rulles the world , put the money of people? The corrupt man.
What we can say about Scam? Well for me is a lyric that want to wake up the people that are "slepping" under the pollitics orders and ideas.

I only can imagine Jay is leading a Revollution , in people.

Yeah, EvoV, you are talking the right thing! It is a bit sad thing really. Money affects on the way you live and spend your time. Money is like a brain, when you got it you don't have to think too hard anymore  The most attractive lyrics on AFO are perhaps on Main Vein, but he is talking about HIMSELF on there.. Oh well Black Crow's about war.. well there might be something..
It would be nice but also a bit weird if we're gonna have some really serious lyrics on the 6th album. One song about Jay's car and another about maybe Pandas or whales.. that could be interesting mixture
