I am back, and I am glad to be home again!
It was a nice experience - to be alone with my kids for those days...
The weather was mixed, but it was cool - we were at sea, we could also do a lot of things inside - we stayed at Center Parcs. There was a big waterworld, the "Aqua Mundo" with a lot of water slides - the kids had a lot of fun there! (me too)
It was great for me: no dishes, no clothes to wash and iron, some animation for the kids, but unfortunately not one second for me to be on my own. I had hope that I could hire a babysitter for one hour or that I could let the kids do some programm at the hotel while I could do something for me, but there was no possibility to leave them at a childcare. They said they cannot take responsibility for them. So, when they were going to the kids club, I had to stay there with them, because everything was open and they could have run away.
In the cataloug they said there are babysitters, but there weren't.
And the worst: no internet. I had some stuff to work, so I would have needed an internet account for some things (and also to keep in touch with some of you...). That was really bad. But I had my laptop, so I was still able to do some other work which I did when the kids were sleeping.
Ok, I am back. I have read for hours now in the forums be up-to-date again. I hope there were no problems during my absense.
I think this was the first time I wasn't online for 5 days and reading Jamirotalk since I opend the site!! Very strange feeling. I missed you a lot, Jamily!!!
Glad to be back!!

Welcome back Meike
Finally I'm here too. I came back at my home yesterday. Rain and traffic jams were with me...
Anyway I spent I think the best holidays of my young life. First the week in Paris with my brother and my sister-in-law. Second, the famous meet with you in London. And to finish the holidays in my family.
I'll make a new post soon because I want to tell you more from my holidays, but I can't upload my photos (I lost my computer/camera cable ). So as soon as the problem is resolved, you'll see everything |

Want to Holiday Near Jay's Scotland Cottage?
- Sorry for dragging this up, but I didn't feel like this was worth it's own topic, and it fits here...kind of!
http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2001330003-2006540853,00.html
Peace and Jamiro-quiet
EVEN hell-raisers like Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay have to chill out every now and then.
And when he does, he retires to his isolated crofter’s cottage on the west coast of Scotland overlooking Skye.
If you want to follow his trail and maybe even bump into him, we’ve found the place for you. Cullin View Cottage is on the shores of Loch Carron and enjoys breathtaking views across to Skye and the Cullin Hills.
It sleeps up to six and a path leads down to the shore where otters and seals can often be seen.
A week in December or January (excluding the festive period) costs £395. Call 01835 822277 or see www.unique-cottages.co.uk. _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Wanted to let you travellers know about this website a friend just told me about. It's called Couch Surfing...If you travel a lot on a budget, it's something you might want to check in to.
http://www.couchsurfing.com
What is CouchSurfing?
You're probably here at CouchSurfing to find a free place to stay or people to hang out with while you are traveling. After your first experience of either surfing or hosting, you'll find out that what you get out of it is so much more. We help to create a better world by opening our homes, our hearts and our lives. We open our minds and welcome the knowledge cultural exchange makes available. We create deep and meaningful connections that cross oceans, continents and cultures. CouchSurfing changes not only the way we travel, but how we relate to the world!
CouchSurfing.com helps you make connections worldwide. You can use the network to meet people and then go and surf other members' couches! When you surf a couch, you are a guest at someone's house. They will provide you with some sort of accommodation, a penthouse apartment or maybe a back yard to pitch your tent in. Stays can be as short as a cup of coffee, a night or two, or even a few months or more. When you offer your couch, you have complete control of who visits. The possibilities are endless and completely up to you.
The friendships made through CouchSurfing enhance members' lives and contribute greatly to making the world a better, safer, more peaceful place. Signing up for a free couch and ending up with amazing adventures and a global family--that's what CouchSurfing is all about! _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |

Is CouchSurfing safe?
This is one of our most commonly asked questions. CouchSurfing has implemented several precautionary measures for the benefit of its surfers, hosts, and community. Every user is linked to the other users he or she knows in the system through a network of references and friend links. In addition to the solid network with friend link-strength indicators and testimonials, we have our vouching and verification systems. Some of these are new technologies invented by the CouchSurfing founders. |
why are u afraid monisum
u don´t have to stay..
u can come from a hitchcock szenario to a mafia szenario - to a FBI szenario... _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |
