This is in line with the HSL prediction of a US bank holiday in Aug/Sept.

If you live in the US, get 3 to 6 months household expense money out of banks now.

CUTE:

Damon Weaver, the 11-year-old KEC TV News Team reporter from Kathryn E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary in Florida got his interview with President Obama today.

Weaver asked the president about Obama's plan to address students across the country on September 8th, low-income communities, basketball, school lunches and bullies.

Weaver must have been satisfied with the long-awaited interview: When it was over, he said, "President Obama is now my homeboy too."

Cleveland murders.
Sad I'm so sorry to post this devastating news here.

In the last week there has been a horrible findings in my area. This story had been reported on all major television networks around the world. I'm sure by now many of you may have heard of a Cleveland home where 11 female bodies were found. Investigation is still ongoing. So far the criminal was charged on 6 counts of murder. This is such a sad ,sad ,and hurtful thing watching unfold. One of the victims that was identified was from the same suburb im from Crying or Very sad. I do remember seeing her more that a year ago. This angers me on why the police didn't respond well to the missing women in that area.

Here are some links to the story.

To be honest, this number doesn't seem that high after all.

9000 out of more than a billion.

But I'd agree with you if you'd say that every single mafioso/criminal is too much.

There's about 1.3 billion people in China. 9000 people out of that is about 0.0007% of their population...

I saw a doco last night about the whole economic thing and they mentioned that over the past 10 years, on average, Chinese families have saved around 50% of their annual income, whereas the average American family saves 0% - nothing! They virtually live on credit! I find that hard to believe, but that's what the guy said.

He also made note of how China is this massive nation of producers, where the States is this massive nation of consumers. Nothing new there, but the thing I found interesting was how all this "stuff" was getting made in China to fuel the American need for it all and it was all being bought on easy credit supplied to banks by Japanese, German, Chinese and Middle Eastern money stockpiles. So they were the ones making the stuff, but then were also the ones effectively lending the money to people so they could pay for it!

Kinda scary. They made the analogy that America and the West was like a bankrupt addict and was virtually owned by these "pushers" of cheap credit or "free" money.

If anyone cares, this was the one: Addicted To Money

TOKYO: Monkeys at a research institute in Japan have used the branches of trees to catapult themselves over an electric fence.

A group of 15 monkeys at Kyoto University's primate research institute in Aichi Prefecture escaped from their forest home, which is encased by a five-metre-high electric fence. The monkeys made their break for freedom by bending and releasing tree branches to fling themselves over the fence.

Despite the intelligence demonstrated by their great escape, the primates appeared unsure what to do with their freedom: they remained by the gates of the centre and were lured back by scientists with peanuts.

''We think that maybe there was some kind of dispute among the monkeys in the forest and so this group decided to leave,'' Hirohisa Hirai, the deputy head of the institute, said. ''Fortunately, they stayed by the fence after escaping as they probably wanted to stay near to the other monkeys.''

Scientists have cut the trees in order to prevent a repeat escape.

The Kyoto institution is one of the world's leading primate research centres, which has produced a series of studies exploring the social interaction, behaviour and evolution of primates.

Telegraph, London.

the monkey story is cool!

check out this one..

Taiwan man invites 10, 000 people for free meal
Jul 10, 2010 10:18 AM | By Sapa-dpa
A mysterious Taiwan man invited 10, 000 people to eat a free vegetarian meal, says a restaurant owner.

Hsu Min-long, of the Lotus Heart Vegetarian Restaurant in Chungho, near Taipei, claimed a young man arrived on a motorbike last week with a bag of money.

"He gave me 480,000 Taiwan dollars (15,000 US dollars) and asked me to use the money to cook vegetarian meals for the public," Hsu told reporters.

"The money is enough to cook vegetarian meals for 10,000 people. I have invited low-income families and children in orphanages to come and eat, but still it is far from 10,000 people," he said.

So Hsu phoned a newspaper, asking it to report the free-food invitation.

Hsu plans to start serve free meal from 11 am until 9 pm for eight consecutive Sundays.

The man who paid for the meals would did reveal his name or the purpose of his generosity, the restaurant owner said.

In Taiwan, people sometimes offer free vegetarian meals to strangers to thank Buddha for a wish granted, or to try to do good deeds to seek peace of mind or long life for oneself or one's parents.

isnt´that beautiful?
that stranger could have bought whatever for that money..
i wish i could do something like that one day!
