it's been a year.
and although i wasn't there, i was there for our version, which was 9/11. i was in line to see jamiroquai 12 hours before the crash into the towers - i left new york 4 hours before. my train was the second to last to leave new york for a few days.
the first year after that happened was very eery. we were all on edge thinking..it is going to happen again? will there be copycat attacks to commemorate the original. we didn't know and we weren't sure.
but this isn't about me or 9/11, it's about 7/7 and the people of london.
keeping you in my prayers as you mark an anniversary that isn't pleasant. globally, we celebrate anniversaries, but this one is a bit different. i think the celebration should be of life and the respect for it (those in london and other countries where war is current), and the fact that you or me or we weren't harmed physically. i don't think it's right to go through this day and not take a second to remember and to be grateful.
so, i don't want this to be a depressing or poltical post. again, i just wanted to remember and give thanks
i'm done. have a lovely weekend! _________________ www.dee34.wordpress.com |
