Vaping instead of smoking.
Some of you J-Talkers might know that I already tried several times to stop smoking, but without success until now.
Not that I didn't enjoy smoking, the problem was that I began to feel the side effects of tobacco.
So far I tried to stop whether without any help, or by using nicotine patches or gum. With those patches or gums I got rid of my craving for nicotine, but the psychological aspects of my addiction weren't satisfied.
But about 2 weeks ago I began "vaping" my eCigarette.
I think I finally found a remedy, because I can't get closer to smoking than this, without inhaling cancer causing toxic substances like tar.
The only toxic substance I inhale from my electric cigarette is nicotine. The smoke is replaced by flavoured steam. It still provides me the slight scratching in my throat and I still hold a "toy" in my hand, a feeling which I got used to for around 20 years smoking cigarettes.
I already talked about this to 2 doctors, my family doctor and my shrink. Both of them were happy about my step to vape instead of smoking.
And I already experience benefits, after only 2 weeks:
- I can breathe more freely.
- I cough way less than before.
- My clothes and the flat I live in don't stink like burnt tobacco ashes anymore.
- The vapours I inhale taste much better than burnt tobacco.
- I got rid of ashes and full stinking ashtrays.
...
I really hope I'll never smoke again.
I smoked way too much in my life anyway, having reached a daily consumption of around 2 boxes of cigarettes a day. (+/- 50 cigarettes)
