Rock Dust Light Star, the song
What are your thoughs about the song???
to me is like a epic metaphor about the world we're living in, like a second virtual insanity, who sounds warmer and heat.
is a very emotional track, im sure many here love this song _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time

Yes! I like it very much, but for me is a little sad and cold, and it has a feeling of resentment on its lyrics. When I'm hearing it speaccilly the version of paleo and the bossa nova version of amsterdam I think is so powerfull and it can transmit an intense message. That´s what I like of the song
Of course I also like the keys, the bass line and the sound of the guitar, the back singers power and passion also is incredible, and the drums of Derrick makes it more hot and strong.
When I first heard this song I thought it was an strange song but with some weeks I remember I started to dig it a lot
Thanks for sharing emotions mr.az _________________ Got my soul education! |

It's funny you bring this song up again. Is it because the Pope is stepping down, i.e. a religious reference?
This is really a great song. The music is fantastic and kind of mesmerizing. The harmonies are sublime. The instruments and vocals are great.

but it's song absolutely controlled which gives it a polished finish.
I think it's the lyrics that keep people wondering.
The lyrics seem to be about questioning politics, government, and religion, and perhaps the apathy. Rather than rely on human institutions, wait for a natural intervention: a star collision coming at you 36,000 miles an hour.
And I do like what they do to this song live! |

@ mr. az -it helps you think about the world? Does it give you a better understanding?
my perspective on the world isn't about feeling betrayed by religions or government, so I don't quite get the lyrics. Maybe he thinks the world promised to function a certain way and it never follows through.
(Idealism vs. Realism)
But he taps into something...I think people usually only see within their life and group, and not the bigger picture of so many communities of people. And then you can even stand back and look at humanity as a whole, like people as ants, just trying to survive, you get it. And then the song talks about the world around us, and the planets and stars, of what happens in the universe seems completely detached, but one day might end with a Star.
So it does get you thinking about our world!
So mr. az -are you going to see Jamiroquai on the 15th?
that's enough years to fall in love with a song! |

So when I saw this story today I had to post it here!
An 11 ton meteor hit the earth in Russia, but it injured 500 people which is very unfortunate.

Yes, looks like "Rock Dust Light Star" in a non-fiction song!!
And "Time Won't Wait" is such a statement about life itself.
It was the bonus track on our TWM release. We didn't get "Funktion." |

Hello,
I'll tell ya what would be both 'creepy' and 'funny' at the same time:
- If some resourceful YouTuber took the audio of 'RDLS' and played it those compilation viral videos of the recent Russian Meteorite Crash.
Now THAT would be coming at you baby, at 36,000 miles an hour! !!! Cheers!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________
