Questions for Jay
Hello, Jamirotalkers.
I wanted to start this topic a long time ago. In case you have the chance to talk to Jay Kay... what would you ask to him?

I would have a lot of questions to ask, but the most important question TO ME will be
would you like to sing with me.
I'm having singin' lessons for about a half year now, and it's going SO WELL that I really want to do something with it. And my dream is to sing, even if it is just for fun, with my favorite singer, JK.
And off course I would ask him to go out to a club or something after our hard work of that day! _________________

Oh and the next question I would have for him will be:
Do you remember all the concerts you gave?
I mean, Paradiso/Amsterdam was the greatest night of my life. And I think it will be for the rest of my life. I had the idea that the band had a great night too. It's almost 10 years ago, but still in my mind! Are those concerts rare and do you still remember these concerts for along time, or do they go by in a second and you don't think about it again? 'Cos that would be a shame!
OK I can go on for hours questioning the ears of his head, so I'll wait and see what you guys have to ask! _________________

songs
Oh that´s an interesting topic
well, though there are alot of questions i have .. of course ....
but what i really want to know is : How they "write" the songs ?
perhaps i´m a little naive... but i know jay doesn´t know notes...so i ask myself how they create their songs.....
i really would like to be a "mouse" in the studio while they are working.... (or an ant.... ) _________________

ADIDASSSSS
Hey Adidas! I sing too! We could do something together! I won some singing competitions and well, I'm not bad at all! :p
Hey, what is J's real name? I heard it's Gilles Petterson, Jason Cheetman... which is true? helo me!
I'd ask him the same questions that Adidas asked and: are you single? hehe, just kidding. I'd ask him: did you take singing lessons? how did you learn to sing? I'm such a fan of his voice _________________

Right Back at ya Spanish Cozmik Girl.
It would be fun to do something together, but you live so FAR AWAY!!!!!!
I didn't do anything with my voice yet, 'cause I'm still in the learning phase. But I'm making progress every day And having more fun with singing that ever before!
I think I'm a bit too shy to do something with it right now. I still have the feeling that everyone's criticising me, and let me tell you: That's not a fun feeling!
So I have to build some selfesteme (?) for this, and then I'm going for it. I have to say that I dare to sing now in front of people, while a 6 monhts ago I didn't dare it at all, 'cos I was scared they would hear me sing. Stupid, isn't it?
Well C U LaterZ _________________

My questions for Mr. Kay!
Hello, :bm_r:
Well, we got some multi-talented Jamirotalkers alumni, Jamiroquai fans and singers ! You know, I'm a pretty good singer, I'm probably America's only professional "car singer"! What I do is drive around town, with Jamiroquai blaring out of my car's exceptional stereo system, singing along with my fav Jamiroquai, no intersection is safe from my Jamiro-caroling..hehe . In regards to the topic at hand, well, I can tell you all JK's real name is "Jason Kay", he shortened his name cause he thought it sounded cool, he mentioned this in his 97' after performance mini-interview with Jay Leno. As for questions I would ask Mr. Kay if I had the chance to interview him, here's some serious questions I would ask him:
1#: Who are some of your current favorite musical artists?
2#: Could Stu, Wallace, or Toby rejoin Jam in a cameo appearance?
3#: Is it difficult to write new songs, given your main song writing
partner from over the years Toby Smith has moved on?
4#: Does your mum still make your hats or someone else?
If she does, is she a talented silversmith?
5#: What are your current plans for the Official Site?
Are you going shamelessly scrap it for a new site or not?
There you go, now to exercise my funny bone, here are some comical questions I pose to that wile Cat In The Hat :
1#: Don't you feel like a right fruit wearing those hats sometimes?
2#: What was worse: Feeding your dogs Titan or Luger OR your
old flame Denise Van Outen?
3#: What do you prefer on the first date: Shagging or Snogging?
Or merely a combination of the two?
4#: Do you know who invented the internet?
5#: Finally, when it comes to your alcohol and partying excess,
"When You Gonna Learn"?
I hope one day, that JK wanders onto this site and answers everyone's questions, but probably never given his track record. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Questions for Jay.
Nice selection of questions JamiroFan. Uff.... I have a looooot of questions, but here I go:
-Do you feel sorry at this point of your life of something you’ve done?
-I know you said you only listen old stuff, but which artist from these days do you like the most?
-Why did Nick leave the band? Are you OK with him? (same questions about Toby/ Stuart/ Wallis/ Katz)
-What happened with the record company? Are you still confronted?
-Why you think you can’t enter the US (musically speaking)?
-How do you decide the models of your hats?
-How many Adidas do you have? (same question about the hats)
-Is there a special reason why you are not so concerned about the enviroment in your last records as you were in 1993, where you represented that so well in EOPE?
-Do you have any plans after the 8-album deal is over? Maybe starting your own company?
-The album you’ve done you like the most, by any particular reason?
-Music or cars? : )
-Music or girls?
-Girls or cars?
-Adidas shoes or expensive hats? :)
OK. That’s all for now. But I’ll be back soon with more.... |

Hello Jamirotalkers,
I would like to know what questions the new users on the site would like to ask to Jay Kay...
Because with this pushing back dates of the album, his accident, his driver's license and stuff, there is a lot that for example I'd like to ask to him...
Write down your questions Jamirotalkers!!

sorry to reopen this thread, but it is too interesting to pass up.
one definite question i'd ask him:
In your EOPE album cover, you wrote that you could not imagine the world in 10 years time. That was in 1993. Could you imagine what the world is like now, in a political and environmental way?
another:
Would you get involved in another Live Aid concert, if it was to happen? |

Here are my questions:
1. What was life like growing up?
2. What influences you the most with your lyrical writing?
3. What type of movie do you like to watch?
4. Ferrari or Lamborgini?
5. Favorite US city to hang out in?
6. Fame or just the love of the music
i.e. would you give up the fame if you could play forever?
7. The Brits or the Grammys? (although I already know the answer)
8. Is there any other type of music you would like to try to create?
9. If (hypothectical) Stevie Wonder was able to grant you his soul and creativity would you accept the responsibility?
10. Finally...What is the biggest misconception your fans and critics have about you? _________________ I used to worry about the future
But then I threw my caution to the wind.....
Peace,
KMack |
