Favorite Jamiroquai Love Ballad!

The old greasy cogs were rolling around in my headagain last night while listening to TWOM on the way from work last night. I came up with a great topic for a new poll here on JamiroTalk.net:  What is your favorite Jamiroquai Love Song or Ballad ? I mean, Jamiroquai have a great number of love songs in their catalogue, and boy, could they make a killing in playing nothing but Weddings? Nice poll Jamirofan - but not that easy!!!  I voted for Falling. I simply love it and I could hear it a thousand times - singing my lungs out 
I wouldn't count Blow your mind to the love ballads - for me its more a chilling tune - would be my favorite in this categorie - especially the second part without Jay singing.

I voted for Blow Your Mind, 'cos this is the song that made me really fall in love with Jamiroquai. 
I heard some music of them before and couldn't find any singles or album from this strange, new, never heard before band. But after hearing this song I travelled to a lot of cities in the Netherlands, just to find exclusives of this band. Promo's and single cd's.
So to me this still is THE ultimate Jamiroquai song, 'cos everytime I hear this song, I get those strange butterflies in my stomache again...

I like Half the Man, myself, especially the little acoustic guitar bit. For some reason, it makes me feel happy.
I try to sing it in my car, but I can only do it in my normal tenor/baritone voice. My falsetto's kind of lighter than normal, so I can't really belt out the higher notes. Oh well, you work with whatcha got

JamiroFan2000 , very nice ideia , so you last night you listened TWOM last Nite? Well just like me ! I listening it at bed when i was start so sleep  as usual on my mp3 player.
So talking about songs , hum I voted Blow your Mind, it really talks about the "relations" about a girl o just blow the head to his boy  .
Really love the tune is more instrumental than any other song , (from the poll)
But talking abou the lyrics ,maybe this song is not the "most strong" talking about the feelings of love , and complications of love.
Maybe Half the Man and Spend A Lifetime , are more strongs on the lyrics.
Just my idea
Just one thing : don't forget Love Foolophy and Little L are Love songs but not ballad, is more groovie , and disco

excellent topic! this was a hard choice, but I voted for 'Butterfly'- it's not you're typical "ooh I love you" song, but you can't always get what you want. To me it's a very realistic feeling. The instrumental backing is also very interesting, especially Derrick's drum work which supports the whole song so well. "Everyday" is a close second for me: I just love the sound of those keyboards and the low-key ending. |

TOO HARD TOO HARD TOO HARD!!!!
Anyway, I choose Butterfly. I really love the lyrics specially "feel like a butterfly searching in the summer sky/ A perfect love so hard to find", is pretty much what happens to me, maybe thats why I feel identificated with this song.
But hey-.... I like every single song. Very difficult to choose only one.

Stillness in time is not a ballad   In my opinion.. it's too fast and happy for that occasion. That's the song I play when I need cheering up.. anyway, I voted for Half the man for the best ballad.

In regards to Geuze's comments about "Stillness In Time" not being a love ballad, well, I consider it a love song mostly due to the lyrics that have a relationship tone to it. Right now is "Falling" maybe cause I`m falling head over heels in love again...  but I also like "Morning Glory" , and " Everyday" is just wonderfull song, I can`t say only one song it is very difficult

For me it was a choice between Butterfly and Blow Your Mind. I voted for Blow Your Mind. I'm listening to it now To be honest its just such a sexy song with a nice chill out groove to it  |
