Cee-Lo, Prince, Dizzee and FF are great artists. Awesome works by all four, especially FF; the new single is basically two songs in one, it's amazing that it's taking off so well. Hopefully, this will have an effect on more underground bands in the future to fight off the current crop of underachievers dominating the charts.
The FF video is freaky as all get out; reminded me of some other kooky video I saw; my memory's a little fuzzy, but I think it involved a guy with a big hat, some furniture, and a moving floor _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. I like the choices, but...
...there's been one giant omission:
Kanye West's the College Dropout.
Best Hip Hop Album of the Year. |

Oh yeah Jaminneapolis, I totally agree. Kanye West is awesome. I haven't heard his cd yet but I've heard a lot of his songs and a few songs that he's produced for other artists. I like hearing everyone's suggestions for best music of 2004. I haven't gotten any new music in a while so I'll probably start checking out some of the cds JamiroFan2000 listed and any other music other people suggest. Any more good cds out there?
Keep on groovin'

Hello Jamirotalkers-
I have been listening a lot the "Fly or Die" album by N*E*R*D, I think is one of the best records of this year, although I have to say I have been buying old records lately (Brand New Heavies for example). But I do have "Musicology" by Prince and I like it a lot. Also "Elephunk" by Black Eyed Peas ( ), Maroon 5 ( ), I downloaded Songs for Manitu ( ) and today I bought an album called "Bajo Fondo Tango Club" it is a national record that mix tango and electronic/ chill out music.
That is what I am listening these days. |

Fly or Die
It's interesting you brought up N.E.R.D.'s Fly or Die CD Diego. It's very good, but I think it's an acquired taste for some people, so that's why I didn't mention it with Kanye West's. As much as we like it, I know a lot of people who don't, so that's why I left off Fly or Die.
On the flipside, best concert of '04: N.E.R.D. and Black Eyed Peas and Clipse at the Quest Club (Minneapolis, MN U.S.A.). That concert was by far the best of the year (and I saw Kanye at the same club the week before).
It was supposed to be headlined by N.E.R.D., but Black Eyed Peas who played before them played as long as a show. They both ripped it up! It was bumpin the whole night in there. It was really cool to see Will I Am and Pharrell consecuvtively, and that Fergie Chick is hot as hell.
The only problem I had with the concert: Chad Hugo (Pharell's sidekick, the Asian Dude) was not there. It was only Pharrell and Shay. But seein Pharrell was good enough for me.
Im done ranting, have a good weekend y'all. |

Well I don't understand why if you liked something, you don't mention it just because other people don't like it.
I was not a big fan of them, in fact when they joined with Justin I said "oh no!". But I gave them a chance and now I can't stop listening Fly Or Die. I know, maybe the lyrics are weak, but still it sounds great. |

Diego
You have a point dude, but on the flip side, I haven't heard anyone complain about Kanye's album. It's pretty much concensus with Kanye (or at least with the people I know).
I have friends that really don't like Fly or Die, so I chose not to list it. I also didn't list it because I think the Kanye album is better.
I do wanna say you're also right about that Black Eyed Peas album. It's a great party cd, every song is upbeat and great to move to. I think the worst song on it is the most popular: "Where is the love". I think that song sucks just because the whole message seem corny and overdone. But the rest of the CD gets it movin. And for you U.S. fans watchin the NBA playoffs right now, you'll notice the commercials the B.E.P. are doin. The song "let's get retarded" on the B.E.P. album has been changed to "let's get it started" for the playoff commercials.
