Which are your musical etnies???
Since I was born, the music in home was pure Salsa, Acid Jazz, Merengue and Latin Jazz!!! That's because I live in Venezuela... We are tropical people... Tell us about your musical etnies...

Hello,

Well, I come from the city of "Tango":

... but my dad and my grandfathers actually enjoy very much this different kind of music (that was born here). In fact, every tourist that comes to Buenos Aires, one of the main attractions of my country is the Tango.

Our music (Venezuela) is what we call here 'Musica Llanera'. But the music globalization changed it all. We are now (well the other people) pure Punk, Rock, Electronic, Techno... we are forgetting our music basis. We heard salsa, merengue and jazz because that's latin music, but it's not our music. I like a lot Salsa, Merengue and Jazz because that were the music I had in these times here in home. Argentina is a good example of the music maintenance. I suppose that Argentina is like Venezuela, full of other music styles, but they preserve the Tango!!! it's delicious for 'Argentinos' and great for tourist. Good for them... Latin Jazz is the best music in all the world (for me) and then Acid Jazz, Funk, Salsa, Merengue....

These are some dance performance photos...

A lot of people dancing salsa:

A Salsa band:

A Merengue band:

A Latin Jazz Band:

A band called Jamiroquai, do you know them????:

Scotland = Bagpipes

I've never tried to play them, I've never even worn a kilt, but it's our Scottish thing...We aren't usually very energetic people...
Where I live nobody seems to be very Scottish, it's all up North and down South where people are more into that kinda thing.
Just remember, we're not all haggis eaters and cabur tossers!

anyone here who don't eat meet...say it 2tapedshut
is tradition in my country...and as i know the mmet don't grow on trees or on earth.
That meet that you eat. is made of pigs or cows,chicken..that major part of it 90% even can't turn around..just eat and grow to be killed withou conditions of higiene.
Do you know where de bull grow? in large fields in contact with nature , during all is life...do you know where the "bandarilhas" that things that you see in the bull? in a part of body that don't hurt , do you know after the race the bull is always with a vet? to kill him safely and the meet is sold after the the Bullfight.

soo don't trow me sand to my eyes 2expressionless anyone got is opinion i got mine , i respect 2sour

well Evov it turn out by your words that bull fighting is something noble Confused
i dont want to go deeper in this discussion coz there are other kinds of forum to do that,so i respect your culture altough i disagree with it,and i agree with you when you say that only a vegetarian can protest because i eat meat and its kind of hypocrite of me to criticise this..
well i just dont like that animals are tortured and humiliated, and any kind of violence on them and people cheering it up..
hope you can understand..peace Wink

Here in Maracay, Los toros (the bulls) are a tradition. Diego, if you were Spanish, you'll like bullfights, there are only traditions. Here in my beautiful city that is a tradition too, and the people like it!!

And Rachmaninova, David Bisbal is so..... Exclamation Question he is a ballet dancer!! A Girl!! Oh god!! Remember him in the Buleria video, god!!! horrible. What is he thinking about? Hheeheh AND I agree with you when you say he has to study in a militar academy, just to take the correct way...

So, let's continue with this Forum, remember: "Which are your musical etnies???" is the Title...
