I asked Sony Finland about some news...
I was curious and thought to ask some news straight from our local international promotion manager at Sony about anything concerning the new album. He answered and - not very optimistic -sounding.. as translated in english here's what he said:
Hello,
the release of the new album is very tentatively planned for October 2004. There is no any information regarding the first single or about anything else either.
This info is really a speculative one.
Best regards,

The original answer in finnish:
Hei,
uuden albumin julkaisu on erittäin alustavissa suunitelmissa julkaisussa
lokakuussa -04. Ensimmäisestä singelestä tai mistään muustakaan albumiin
liittyvästä asiasta ei ole mitään tietoa.
Tieto on todellakin alustava.
Terveisin,

Well, don't know about that but all major Jamiroquai release dates have always been the same in Finland as in other countries in Europe so I would talk about international here. _________________ kite carrier (geuze)

No No that could be a good indication...
Hello, :bm_r:
Thanks for that important piece of news Geuze ! Well, I don't think we will have to wait "a whole another month" in Diego moaning. I think this bit news is a strong indication that the 6th album WILL come out in September, but in a LATE Sept. release, with more foreign release dates in the further beginning weeks of October, or I could be wrong, who knows. Thanks for that news Geuze, I also e-mailed the Sony Music UK webmaster with the same inquiry, and as usual no answer...yet. Peace!
Sincerely,

Well, I don't like making predictions (I am very bad at it, plus I don't have enough info to make one ), so I said that "not another month" as a joke, cause well, if that happens, we waited 3 years and 1 month to hear it after AFO. And I don't know about you peopl, but that's a lot of time!!!

It may seem like a lot of time, but remember that the band is only 9 months removed from its last gig - Istanbul last September. The time in between albums has been relatively fruitful compared to the wait for AFO--lots of live recordings online (of tourdates from 2001 to 2003, which produced noticeably different sounds) and Verona DVD. _________________ i left my funk in san francisco

I agree.
