YEEAAAHHH!!!!
buffaloman_R Hello, :bm_r:

(Does a improv of the lyrics to the NEW "Black Devil Wife" 30 second clip on the Funkin Site!) "sing You should've seen her, uh she had the greenest eyes, and with those little thighs, I put my hands through...some misdemeanors. Can't you see now that I'm not choosy, you drive a black machine that I think that your groovy, uh let me take a little ride with you. Baby yeah, driving around...in my 5car Black Devil Car! 5car " :lala:

Very Happy Ooohhh Very Happy ....man, talk about a TIGHT track sample! Man, this REALLY makes me think the old sound is coming back, and from this new indication...it will be AWESOME! Wink Big, massive, and humongous Props to David Rowe for recording and making this important piece of the 6th album puzzle for fast and readily available for download Wink! I have a feeling the song is called "Black Devil Car" instead of the original "Black Devil Wife" title, nice little play of words..hehe. Wink Good heads up on this news Diego, much props to you too Wink! Thanks for listening and if you will excuse me, I have to listen to this clip another million times...it is tizzle on izzle bizzle!!! Peace!

Looking for a "Black Devil Car",
JamiroFan2000

I was expecting something a little bit faster on the drums. For about twenty seconds, I felt like that the song was a little caged, until all of a sudden it kicked in. To me, it has a real rock-driven sound to it, but I also knew that the opener would really go over well with fans of the old sound. It'll be interesting to see where this song ends up. I'd put it as a second single, make Shoot the Moon the lead-especially since the Montreux 2003 version actually was supposed to have HORNS! I'd really like to see what STM sounds like with brass lines.

Great find, Diego, and thanks to Funkin! Awesome job, you two! Wink

WOW!!! fire jump

What a night! I have fallen asleep in the living room in front of the computer... at 10 p.m. 2faint ... then woke up at 1:30 because the baby was crying, then his big brother got startled because he has accidentally tinkled in his bed... Rolling Eyes .... after having fixed everything I decided to have a final look at jamirotalk before falling into my bed... AND... what a fantasic surprise I saw at 2:30 in the early morning???

BLACK DEVIL CAR!!! surprise THANK YOU MR: ROWE!! :2hug:

After hearing it a douzen times 7headphones I did go to bed but was so excited that I couldn't sleep another 2 hours... 2bouncy 2tired

The night is over here now, the kids woke me up at 7a.m. and I heard the snippet again a few times, together with Marlin.
It sounds really familar to me and don't you think Matt is doing a great job there? I guess he was involved in the writing process of the song!
I couldn't hear Mr. Meadows that good (because my loud speaker of my computer is horrible) so that I can't really say, if he rocks or not. I'll have to hear it again with earphones on stereo.

I have a good feeling concerning the next album!!! good

Mouse (tired but happy!!!)

this sample sounds very much like the sound of the band at Montreux '03 (especially "Soul Eduction"). Live drums too! I'll never take it for granted again. Does this remind you of "Whatever it is, I just can't stop" or "Hooked up"? The end of the sample has more of a rock feel than most other tracks we've heard in the past though. I'm not sure this signals a return to the "old" vibe, but rather a return to the sound of live instrumentation and fluid vocals that have made the band so fun to listen to.

This is so exciting Exclamation

Jamirofan and the purists might be getting their wish.
The sample is very tight, and like the rest of you say, so tempting to listen to over and over and over again. I like it a lot.

The other thing for you Jamiroquai purists that have yearned for the "old" sound: Unless the horn noises were fabricated by Matt's keyboard, it sounds like y'all got your horn section back. Im sure Jamirofan will be especially happy about that.

As for me, I can go for the old ROTSC or EOPE style, or I can go for the newer disco/"Ibiza"(That's what Jamirofan calls it) oriented newer stuff, or a healthy mix.

Either way, to repeat what I say every other time, they better get the heck over to the U.S. this time around for touring. It's been an exciting couple of days between a supposed release date of the new album and the sample of Black Devil. Let's hope more samples are released soon to drive us further nuts and in further agony before the official release. Peace out y'all, and have a good night, eventhough all of you Europeans are now probably waking up (it's 2AM Minnesota USA time).

WOO!
Reminds me too of the new Soul Education live version!
The sound is a little like in the third album plus rock. (instead of pop?)
incredible track! Shocked

*loop for about 1 hour and a half*

Very Happy

Hehe, McFly, I took your idea and looped it for some time now and its getting even better and better. I really like it! It's really fast and I can imagine Jay sitting in his Enzo and driving to the sound... Cool

Now I burned it on a CD and heard it in much better quality! You all should do that, because it sounds way better now!
Now I could hear the bass much better and the few tunes I heard awake confident hope that they did a good catch with Alex Meadows! He seems to fit perfectly. 7electricguitar

Jammineapolis, sorry, but I don't hear any horns 2listen ... I think you mean the sound in the refrain, don't you? That sounds synthie-like to me!
