Hello there!
Ohhh... I just read a wonderful news for me! A third Toy Story movie is in the works!

Third Toy Story in the works
06 September 2004
You all remember last week when we introduced you to Sammy the Movie News Sloth? You do? Good, because the idle git's at it again and there is no sign of anything approximating actual news to report today. That being the case please bear with us while we tell you that there might, maybe, possibly be a chance of Toy Story 3.
Moviehole sent a man to Disney on the weekend and found out that there's provisional movement on the Toy Story front and that, if the project goes ahead, it will definitely be theatrical, rather than a dodgy straight-to-video effort. And that's pretty much it.
What we can tell you though is that, with Pixar's contract ending in 2005 with Cars, Disney will in all likelihood be going this one alone. Yes, unthinkable as it seems, Disney have the rights to make sequels to any of the joint ventures (including the likes of Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo) without Pixar's consent or assistance. Clearly this does not bode well for a proposed third outing in the Toy Story franchise.
Awww... I remember when I saw the first one, I couldn't believe it!! Good for Pixar!

Some of my favorite movies are the same as what you guys have said, but others are different.
My favorite movie is Blues Brothers. The movie is a classic.
Other favorites are
Fast Times at Ridgemont High (the unsung original American Pie)
Snatch
Clerks
Dogma
Field of Dreams
Glory
Gladiator
The Breakfast Club
Swingers
Snatch
And Im probably forgetting about a million more. But It'll be hard for any movie to ever de-throne Blues Brothers. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

Amelie- A film you will fall in love with
I totally adore this film and added it to my list of all-time favourites! It is certainly different and doesn't reflect real life. It's a modern fairy tale full of original, likeable characters, but also perverts and weirdoes than constantly spy on each other. But you can't help even liking those, because in spite of their strangeness they are still human and long to be happy like anybody else. Each character is brilliantly described with all their likes and dislikes. It's incredibly funny, mainly because this is where the film reflects real life. Amelie is a dreamer and an angel, afraid of falling in love and making it her mission in life to make other people happy. And she's a genius in the way achieves this! She seems to have a heart the size of an ocean, totally devoid of any judgement and unable to dislike anybody. Audrey Tautou plays her character to perfection, but the other actors are also excellent. This movie left me feeling happy and positive about life. Other films you forget as soon as you've finished watching them, the spirit of this film stays with you for days afterwards.

The Man of Steel, one of the heroes of my childhood, the four Superman movies I used to watch constantly, the actor that loved life...
People say it was a great person...

I love this movie: Blade Runner
Deckard is a Blade Runner, a police man of the future who hunts down and terminates replicants, artificially created humans. He wants to get out of the force, but is drawn back in when 4 "skin jobs", a slang term for replicants, hijack a ship back to Earth. The city that Deckard must search for his prey is a huge, sprawling, bleak vision of the future. This film questions what it is to be human, and why life is so precious.
Cast overview, first billed only:
Harrison Ford .... Rick Deckard
Rutger Hauer .... Roy Batty
Sean Young .... Rachael
Edward James Olmos .... Gaff
M. Emmet Walsh .... Bryant
Daryl Hannah .... Pris
William Sanderson .... J.F. Sebastian
Brion James .... Leon
Joe Turkel .... Tyrell
Joanna Cassidy .... Zhora
James Hong .... Hannibal Chew
Morgan Paull .... Holden
Kevin Thompson .... Bear
John Edward Allen .... Kaiser
Hy Pyke .... Taffey Lewis
Blade Runner, the PC Game:
In 1997 Westwood Studios has been extremely vocal about how its adaptation of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner would revolutionize the adventure genre. Touting it as "the first real-time adventure game" and promising a "constantly changing plot," the designers have made numerous claims about how the game's characters and story would be unpredictable, creating an entirely new experience. Unfortunately, almost none of the claims are true. Blade Runner is an interesting mood piece, built upon some very detailed graphic work and an interesting premise - but somewhere along the production line, someone forgot to include a game.
The events of Blade Runner, the game, take place in November 2019, precisely the time of Blade Runner, the film. The storyline itself is strikingly similar: You assume the role of Ray McCoy, a Blade Runner who hunts down a scourge of replicants hiding out in Los Angeles. The leader of this gang is a philosophical, brooding sort named Clovis who wants to find a way to extend his factory-provided four-year life span and sulks around, pointlessly quoting William Blake and steadfastly protecting his "family," a motley assortment of other replicants. One of Blade Runner's "constantly changing plot" elements is that, with repeated playings, different characters will be replicants. And McCoy may or may not be a replicant himself (a plot element that was subtly hinted at in Scott's film), and every character seems to say "What about you, McCoy?" at some point or another.

Here's mine (no special order)
Kikujiro no natsu (l'été de Kikujiro) by Takeshi Kitano
Toys by Barry Levinson
The City of Lost Children (la cité des enfants perdus) by Caro & Jeunet
Babe the Gallant Pig by Chris Noonan has always always appealed to me (no real clue why!)
I also love Amélie Poulain (or "Amelie from Montmartre"), Big Fish, American Beauty and Blade Runner very much (I wrote a 150+ page paper about this movie for an exam!).
I know there are loads of others, but that's all the ones that spring to my mind at the moment... |
