Jay Kay - Festival of Speed
Jay Kay is at the Festival of Speed, Goodwood, this weekend.
Haven't had a chance to find any photos yet, there's one on www.goodwood.co.uk --- http://www.goodwood.co.uk/fos/ -- click on "the action" then "Supercars" although the photo is from 2003.
Haven't had time to search for any news items or photos, but Max from http://www.sycamorecars.co.uk/_sycamorecars.htm -- told me this afternoon that Jay Kay is definitely there.
Gutted from Emsworth . |

I used to be a subscriber to ESPN the Magazine, and my favorite story I ever read was an article on the Goodwood Festival. It really sounds and looks like a spectacle...I remember this one quote from American stock car legend Darrell Waltrip about when he saw the barn of the guy who puts this thing on, Lord March I think: "When I first saw it, I thought it was the guy's house." I also read something about a Benz getting commissioned for a mid-air sculpture and Jaguar/Williams F1 cars running hot laps on the track. For some reason though, they don't post their times due to a "gentleman's agreement." I'd really like to know what kind of speeds they are running, just for fun. Sounds really awesome! You Brits have all the fun. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Otherwise, I have to be honest, I can see a situation where...there is a possibility that you become lost in the annals of acid jazz history." -- Jason Kay |

Oh Vi, that's a shame, we could have met each other there as well! I was going to go on Friday, it's too damn expensive on Saturday and Sunday . Thanks for those photos, they were from the press launch day of the festival, I recognise the clothes Jay Kay was wearing . I was going to go on the back of a Harley -- can you imagine how excited I was?!
Supersonic, I went last year, it was excellent. I took the kids and they enjoyed it too. http://www.mspworld.100megsfree5.com/ --- I must admit I only really went to see Jay Kay's Enzo -- I think Yvie is more of a car buff than me! I'm just a stalker!!! lol
There's an American Dragstar as the fest this year which has never been seen outside the US before.
Yesterday the weather was abysmal, rainy and grey, the sun's shining this morning, so the last day should be a smasher!!! lol |
