Jay Bond 007
Our fellow fan Akghar found two articles (frenchiroquai) where actor Eric Bana (Hulk, Troy) suggested Jay as next James Bond.
Mirror.co.uk

THE search for the next James Bond is over - Jay Kay is the man for the job, according to Aussie actor Eric Bana.
Bana, star of The Hulk movie, has again flatly denied he'll be the next 007 and suggested the Jamiroquai frontman instead.
"He's cool, looks good in hats, is a wild driver on the roads and knows the moves with the ladies.
"He'd be great and he's the only person in the world who hasn't been tipped to get the gig yet," said Bana at a charity function in Sydney, where he donated Ł11,000 to a homeless youth.
Hmmm... we think there's more chance of Jay playing I Spy, than a Brit super-spy. |
Well, the thing that is the most funny is that people from second source (123bharath.com] proclaimed Jay as a rapper. Haha, what next?
Oh, and Junk Bond?? WTF?
thx to Akghar & Frenchiroquai |

Jay as 007? That's the funniest and silliest thing I've ever heard. hahahaha. (Although those are good points about the cars and ladies... but when does James Bond wear funkay hats? )
thanks for pointing the news out, that was great XD |

but br0n, he would probably do the same thing as Will Smith.
Write new song for every movie he makes. So, we would get +1 song from Jamiroquai.
(Although Jay would probably make fool of himself playing Bond)

I'm Bond, Jay Bond
I don't want that Jay will be a super star of Films, he could loose her own style and difficulty see him singing another time. Thanks that it is only a rumor.
The press could get more information of Jay Kay before says that Jay is a rapper and don't put ironic comments (Hmmm... we think there's more chance of Jay playing I Spy, than a Brit super-spy) Fucking all they _________________ Don't have a dream. Life your dream |

lol mtey... true... more songs would definately be a bonus... but i really can't see a jmq song ending up on a james bond soundtrack. hehe and i think he would make a fool of himself trying to act james bond too... i don't think he could be serious for long enough.
Yuyiroquai - "I'm Bond, Jay Bond" hahaha! yeah, i wouldn't want Jay to lose his style... best he sticks to doing what he does best, music. too many times actors turn into singers or singers turn into actors and it doesn't always work. :/
i wonder what jay has to say about all this...
(oh wow, i'm already over 70 posts! ) |

"The Name is Bond, Jamiro Bond."
Hello,
Oh, hehe, what a funny bit of news, thanks Mtey ! Hmm, JK would be a perfect pick for a a future Bond, but the only thing he would probably have a problem at handling is Bond's impeccable hand-to-hand to combat with foes. Now, he has no problem with "hand-to-hand combat" with the Bond girls, but I would hate to see JK fighting his arch-nemesis Jaws and JK kneels down and starts yelping, "COR! Oh please, mister Steel jaws, don't rough up my suit, it's a rental!" Ha Ha Ha, and couldn't you just imagine a classic Q segment with JK coming in to check out the newest gadgets? I can...hehe....
JK, dressed in a leisure suir, walks through MI6 into the Q Division offices. Monty Python's own John Cleese, playing the role of R, is fidgeting around with some gadgets, he spots J and says, "Oh, there you are 00J, I have some new items to show you. Only if you plan to return them to me in pristine order!" J eyes all the cool looking toys and replies, "Oh sure mate, what do you have for me?" R gives a look of doubt and presents J with the first one, "OK, pay attention OOJ, this may look like a ordinary ballpoint pen, but when you pull the latching top off and count to 5, it will launch a 200 foot metal harpoon into a ceiling and hold your weight so you can swing to a crevice for safety." J says, "Oi! That's incredible, what else does it do?" R sneers and replies, "Nothing else OOJ, it does one thing, we're British not the Swiss, we make gadgets, not army knifes!" J smiles and nods, and says, "Oh what else do you have?" R directs 00J over to the car garage and presents him with, "We also have your new Ferrari Enzo with the usual Q Branch refinements. 20 mm machine guns behind the lights, rocket propelled grenades under the hubcaps, reinforced bulletproof windows, a cellphone remote control for the car and one new feature I am distinctly proud of." R sits down in the driver's seat of the Enzo while JK looks on starry eyed. R shows off the internal features, "Now 00J, if you want to change the Enzo the into a submarine, you push this red button here on the right part of the steering wheel. If you want to convert your Enzo into a plane you push the blue button next to the red button. And finally, if you have a fine piece of totty you want to get it on with, just push this green button and the Enzo's trunk will transform into a bedroom, complete with condoms, Telly complete with DVD player, and of course the frothy bottle Dom with chilled wine glasses!" OOJ looks at R and compliments with, "R, you are amazing, are you a swinger or something?" R swallows and replies with, "00J, that is no business of yours...just get along and grow up 00J!" J jumps into the Enzo with a sly smile and tears away out of the garage.
Ha Ha Ha ! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
R: "Bond, your being replaced with JK, a popstar in the next movie!"
Bond: "That's absolute bollocks R, who's going to replace you?"
R: "Nobody, I'm John Cleese, a Immortal!"
Bond: "Fair enough!" _________________

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Well... it could be strange to see Jay as a big Hollywood star, really strange. So I can't imagine him with a gun, all those gadgets and fighting against crime
But we know that Jay would never want to do that!
Hehe, very funny Brent... John Cleese immortal...hehe
Thanks for sharing the news Mtey

Jay would be a decent Bond. But I hope not Eric Bana. Eric Bana is too hunkish to be Bond. Too muscular. He has the good looks it takes, but he's too big. Bond guys have historically good looking guys, but not the most muscular. Just guys that are in relatively good shape.
My favorite guy was Roger Moore. Just because he was in the movies with Jaws lol. Nah they were all pretty cool, even Dalton. I liked him in the living Daylights.
It's too bad no Americans could ever be Bond, because I'd have the perfect guy to play the role. Im not sure if you people that live in places other than the U.S. are familiar with the U.S. television drama "the Practice". Look up Dylan McDermott. He's the main star on that TV show and has the perfect look for James Bond. Tom Cruise or Collin Farell wouldn't be bad choices either (at least in how they look).
But Jay isn't bad, because he has the charisma. No offense Rach, but Orlando Bloom should not be Bond (he's a good looking guy), but I think he's a pussy. Kinda like Di Caprio. A good lookin guy, but they don't exactly make me think they could ever beat anyone up. A Bond character has to kinda have to have that feel to him. Im niot sure Jay has that either, but not as bad as Bloom at least. _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

its impossible to be jay! cause they don't want to spend much money on new bmw cars, and don't want double stunt mans to do the most danger parts of movies..so that's why they don't want him making the new Bond!
the best movies are with this man: Sean Connery
the real bond...james bond! _________________ hooked up |

but why spending money in other cars if Jay has a Ferrari Enzo???
I think the Enzo is better than those cars.... _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!
