Merger between Sony and BMG
Before Im about to say anything, understand that this is just speculation, and nothing more. A merger between Sony and BMG is supposed to take place pretty soon. When it happens thousands of jobs will be cut, and so will some bands. The merger has beene approved in Europe, and the FTC (the U.S. Federal Trade Commission) will soon give it's approval. Do you guys think this could addd any delay to the album coming out? _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

But,...i really don't understand Sony;Jamiroquai means lots of money, much more than other bands that Sony have....here,in spain, are there a shit of singer (a bullshit of singer)....and her company is sony too,why don't they take care with that type of shits and let "real" bands in peace????
I don't understand it ...and,by the way, isn't logical that thing with the new album,Jamiroquai have to give money to Sony NOW! ...too much time without anything new...but who knows, they're extrange!! _________________

Sad to say, Rach, but those "s--ts" are the moneymakers of the music world. Just ask Britney.
That being said, Jay has said on record that he has begun to regret signing that eight-album deal with Sony. Perhaps this is his-and Jamiroquai's-way out? They can get a new label that could actually market them well, and they could really finish the last half of their careers on a high note! _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. No,no,i'm not talking about "Britney and company" ...worse ones!! that one in spain is only known here, and i'm sure that Sony have more all over the world...and Jamiroquai is known in all parts!
And with the publicity...why sony don't want to promote singles and albums...that's worse for them! if people don't know that are there a group called jamiroquai that have just record an album...how can they buy it??
If they are not earning so much money as they thought isn't Jamiroquai fault i think
**sorry for my bad words
i don't know how to explain it in english at all...hum... _________________

Don't worry about cussing. I censor mine just to keep out of trouble with the moderators. That's all.
I think Sony has taken Jam for granted really. They do have them for eight discs...something tells me they'll start marketing for them when the last one comes around. I'm not holding my breath on any type of marketing here in the U.S. either. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does.
