Jill Scott
Her new album
Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2, is awesome. If you're into just pure soul. Try this one out.

Her voice is really bold on "Golden", the released song from the album (which is really good, it's what made me buy the album), but for the rest it's a lot more smooth, silky. Sounds really good. This is what I worte about her earlier from the "What are you listening to now" topic.:

"Golden" from Jill Scott

Since most Jam fans like soul, take a sample of some of this woman's music, but especially listen to "Golden". It's a good song. Here's a link:

http://www.whoisjillscott.com
click "enter site" and in the bottom corner of the page you can scroll through and sample songs (without having to open or download anything).

Once again, Enjoy!!!

BTW to all of the Europeans out there:

If you like what you hear from Jill Scott, she will be in concert at Paradiso in Ansterdam on November 18 (that one's for you Adidas), and then for the next week be performing live at various places in the UK. Maybe someone can update me if she's any good live?

Im a huge fan of Jill's and have the latest CD. Still listening to it at the moment so can't give my overall view of it - but it's great so far.

I love Words and Sounds Vol.1 and I also picked up the Live 2CD 826+. It's great to hear what the musicians do with relatively simples tunes, and repetitive grooves. They mix it up extremely well and make it much more interesting to listen to.

Booked tickets to see her in Bristol on 23rd November so im looking forward to that Wink
