That sounds great Rach!!!!
I was also a great Beatles fan - and I still am - but I couldn't do a list of my favorite songs - there are too many of them and my favorites change all the time..... but the ones you choose Brent, are also one of my favorites. But I think the best album is the "White album"
I think I will hear it right away while cleaning the house...... |

Ha, that's amazing! My first music experiences I had made with a lot of LPs of my Mum - The Beatles!!!
And I was crazy about the music!
The first two albums that I heard had been those:
After that I fell in love with that great Band and spent all my money to buy other LPs from a band that already was finished. I have even read some books about them. I was really hooked!
It's not easy to say which album or song is the best...
Hm... ... I really like the albums
Abbey Road and
The White Album
and three of my favourite songs are
In My Life and
Here Comes The Sun
Penny Lane
Wow, that's long ago. I was 10 years I think. I remember that we didn't have a CD Player yet, because it was so expensive that we couldn't afford one. A few years later I bought my first CD Player, when I was 14 years. And it still had a high prize (about 400 EUR!!!)
So, all I have from the Beatles is on Vinyl.
Thanks Brent for bringing back the Beatles to my mind!
I think I will buy some of their stuff on CD soon, so that I can hear that great music in my car soon!
Here come the lyrics of my favourite Beatles song...
| Quote: |
The Beatles: In My Life (Rubber Soul)
In My Life
There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

Cheers,

Meike!! That were also the first two albums I bought!!!! (It's also long ago...)
I'm ready with cleaning and with the White album - as I heard "While my guitar gently weeps" I nearly started crying. This song always touches me in a special way but today I also thought about George Harrison and that he died and it was getting very sad.....He was such an extraordinary musician... |
