MTV Music Awards in Miami - But where are Jamiroquai ???
Hello everybody !
I just went through the pictures of the MTV Music Awards in Miami
which took place on Monday . ( Or was it Sunday ? ).

But strangely enough : Even though Jay has spent the last weeks
in MIAMI he doesn´t seem to have attended the Awards,which took place in MIAMI.
Why ?
Is his stardom already fading,so that nobody has invited Jamiroquai to the Awards ?Or was he there but the photographers weren´t interested in him ??
Only people like Beyonce, Jay-Z or Christina Aguilera are in the center of interest.
Not one single photo of Jay and the boys.
That´s really strange... |

It´s not so strange when you havn´t do anything new for about 3 years and a half. There are millions of people that havn´t heard about jamiroquai becouse of that. |

I don't find that strange seeing that Jamiroquai hardly exist anymore to U.S. media and they didn't do anything in the past year. Also, they probably hate MTV U.S. Maybe next year though after the next album.

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Well, this is the way it works I think: they invite the artists of the moment, the ones that are currently on every radio station. Think that if they had to invitate every artist that were at different MTV VMAs, they had to have a much bigger place.
Though I think that after this album, they will be on the next VMA. But what I said is not a reason for not invite the best funk band in the world!!

JK at the VMAs?!? Bollocks!!!
 Greetings, 
 You've got to be kidding me Gabik, why would JK want to attend something so overly commerical, boring and crappy ? I watched the VMAs on Sunday and believe me, JK would have had a boring time there and would be a waste of his time. He would have probably got ejected from the show for laughing his ass off at all the crappy acts, with The Polyphonic Spree, Jet, Kanye West, Alicia Keyes & Stevie Wonder being the exceptions. MTV US has proved to me that Jamiroquai would and should never be on there ever again, after rubbing their leg in 1997, then 2 years later claiming them as "1 Hit Wonders", then in turn VH1 US comdemning as a redundant "2 Hit Wonder"! I mean, could you imagine JK on the red carpet, being interviewed by one of the countless new one-name VJs of TRL...I can, and it would go something like this....
Stars step out of their limos at the red carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards in Miami Florida. A Misc. VJ announces to a cameraman, "Hello, hi and what's up, I'm Medusa, live and on the red carpet of the 2004 VMAs here in Miami. Lots of stars of celebrities have just arrived and are going in, let's see if I can get a word or two with some of them." She walks around and spots JK walking in, she runs over and tugs JK by the shoulder yelping, "Looky here, it's Jamiroquai, how are you?" JK raises his eyebrow and replies, "Oh I'm fine, yep that's right, I'm Jamiroquai, but I have a band you know?" Medusa gives a weird look and replies, "You have a BAND now, how cool. By the way, what are you doing here in the states, new album coming out soon?" JK looks around and says, "Well, yes, we're working on our 6th album right now for release in the Fall, lots of brass, less strings and great new sounds!" Medusa replies, "Oh, so your not doing your album by yourself this time?" JK cringes and answers, "Like I said, me and the BAND are working on our new album and it is sure to please our fans!" Medusa yelps, "Well whatever, nice seeing...OH MY GOD, here comes J-LO, Gotta to get a word from her!" Medusa rushs off to see J-Lo, leaving JK grumbling, "What a totty bitch, MTV, what shite!"

You hit it right on the nose with that one Brent! Can you imagine if it were Kennedy talking to him? (Remember her?!) She would for sure sound just like that.

Well this primary question has been in my mind for years..why jami isnt on some big VMA happening(they were once),i cant really decide do i want them to become so big and popular or to go underground and make great music for people with great taste or can that 2 ideas be together..
