New Commentary I posted on J-Talk (Full Text)...
buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Well, I took my anger over the Official Site and penned another post for "J-Talk". Here's the full text of what I typed and post, I don't know if it will do any good, but I'll keep trying Wink:

What the heck is happening Official Site Webteam OR Webmaster?? (A Commentary)
Posted by JamiroFan2K on 20/11/2000 04:54:55

Hello J-Talk,

Well, to be honest, I'm not entirely glad to see the Official Site back online after a 2 week hiatus offline. I don't know what caused this, be it hackers, server failure or what, but us fans are really miffed (Pissed off). First off, when the Official Site went offline, the first logical thought in our minds was, "Oh cool, they have taken the Official Site offline with no prior warning to update it OR to convert it to a upcoming 6th Jamiroquai album!" Then it reboots back online 2 weeks later with apparently no work done on it and we think, "Oh man, what the heck is going on! There have been loads of release dates swirling the online boutiques for the 6th Jamiroquai album and the Official SIte hasn't been updated!" Then there's absolutely no responses to fan inquires about this situation, e-mails from the Jamiroquai Mailing list, or ANYTHING from the makers and maintainers to what happened to the Official Site or what is going on. I mean, I understand it takes "time" to construct a new Official Site and "more time" to impliment it, but come on. I mean, little messages from bandmembers (I.E. Derrick, Rob & Nick on the Funkin Site Guestbook & J-Talk) are nice and very helpful, and we're always indebted to them taking the time out of their busy schedule to fill the fanbase's ears. But when little updates are done periodically on the Official Site SOLELY to push new Jamiroquai Merchandise OUTSIDE of the music release spectrum, then questions will be asked by the fans. I mean, let's be honest, this Official Site has been the worst maintained and updated Official Site in current Jamiroquai website memory. I mean, yeah the past Official Site did a good job (I.E. The Synkronized Era www.jamiroquaimusic.com & Travelling Without Moving Era Official websites), and partially the current Official Site in it's first few months of operation. But there has been a long lag in the updating of the site and it seems like either Sony OR Jamiroquai have broken their connections with the fanbase, which is really sad, even if it was unintentional. The Jamiroquai fanbase, above most current bands, has flourished around the world, created new exciting fansites (I.E. The Funkin Site www.funkin.com, JamiroTalk.net International Fan Forums www.jamirotalk.net, The Italian Jamirosite www.jamirosite.com & many others), and brought all the fans together in a closerknit society. With this new communication amongest fans, you would think they would Update the Official Site and try to rope in all these fans and contribute to this Online Jamiroquai Community, not leave it alone to fend off itself by speculating blindly on what the heck is up with Jamiroquai. My first "Open Letter" I posted a while back was my first attempt at trying to display our displeasure with the current Official Site, but as usual, it was ignored by "them", and supported by the fans. I just hope this message is read by SOMEBODY at Sony and something is rectified soon, or Jamiroquai is at risk of losing fans off this, and that is a scenario that I don't want to happen. I mean, the music of Jamiroquai, over the past 5 albums, has brought hope, love, and sheer feelings of europhia to so many in this world and made us better people. Please understand I'm only posting this for the benefit for all the fans, not to drum up hatred toward Sony or Jamiroquai or JK. I just want the "Band-Fan" relationship fixed and made more lasting. Thank you all for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
~JamiroFan2000~

There you go, I hope I covered all the bases of it ok. Thanks for listening and let's hope this post helps the current situation Wink! Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
