Blow Your Mind (Pori Jazz 2003)
Hi everybody,

Someting strange reaches my ear: when you listen to 'Blow Your Mind' (Pori Jazz 2003), Jay says the following before the song:

'Okay. This song's of the...I think this is of the second album Return Of The Space Cowboy. We haven't done it for a while, so we might screw it up. Maybe. If we try hard enough. This track's called Blow Your Mind.'

We all know Blow Your Mind is from the first album! Shocked

Two thoughts are still crossing my mind:

1. Jay was a little bit confused at that moment.

2. The recording of Pori is a selection of songs from the whole concert. It could be that the text Jay says 'belongs' to the forgoing. It comes after Little L (in the selection), maybe at the whole concert they played not Blow Your Mind after Little L. Though if you check the tracklists of the other Midnight Sun-gigs (I don't have the full tracklist of Pori), after Little L they played Blow Your Mind.

Give me you opinion about this.

Maybe fans from Finland have the tracklist, so we can delete option 1.

Hello! Wink

As for info to LLCoolJr and others, yes, we discussed this matter over a half a year ago when the concert was broadcasted from a finnish radio.
But you brought a question not issued so I can make it clear:

Yes, the broadcast was unfortunately just a selection of songs. BUT as I attended the concert I can confirm that YES Jay really DID say that just before they started playing Blow Your Mind! (at the concert I was just whaaat the..?? did I hear it right..) So your thought number 1 is the right one Smile \o/

The Pori Jazz 03 setlist was as follows: Canned Heat, Cosmic Girl, Little L*, Blow Your Mind*, High Times*, Travelling Without Moving, Butterfly*, Just Another Story, Mr Moon, Alright, Love Foolosophy* and Deeper Underground*

*)broadcasted

Yeah, we have all had one of those days.

Mind blowing, quite easily !!!

Lucky you Geuze to attend the Pori Festival Smile))))

You sound like an acute and chronic 'case', have you done other Jamiroquai concerts ???

If you did, how did you find them in comparison to Pori ???

Yes Little H - KSA, as I live in Pori it was a great great amount of luck. And I also got the ticket for free Very Happy (of course I would have payed for it but I was a bit involved in some of the organizing stuff at the festivals).

I've attended two concerts, 1999 and 2003 in Finland. Both were amazing concerts and hard to compare because the first one of course had this "first time" atmosphere. On the second hand it was a great feeling to have the band in my own home town with all friends closeby. From a hi-fi -point of view the 99 concert was better, but I enjoyed the last one more and hearing Just Another Story live was mindblowing..

I found that to be pretty strange myself....it was a good version, I liked how Matt got keyboard solos to give the song his own touch and not just doing Toby's old bit.
