MTV news: Jamiroquai finalizes Dynamite (nov 8th?) + DVD??
Hello Jamirotalkers,
While looking for news around the web, I found that MTV said:
| Quote: |
Jamiroquai, it is some Dynamite! (02/08/04)
Jay Kay finalizes Dynamite, the new album of his group Jamiroquai in the USA |
The Link http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:fTDElwqRkrsJ:www.mtv.fr/mtv.fr/jhtml/nws/MaNewsArchive.jhtml%3Ft%3D72+Jamiroquai%2BDynamite%2Balbum&hl=en
(It is in french) But when I click on it, nothing about it appears!! And the news are from August too, but the album title has a name since then.
And also:
| Quote: |
Andrea Bocelli - Andrea
Anthrax - Best of Anthrax (TBC)
Black Eyed Peas - Monkey Business
Elton John - Peachtree Road
Delta Goodrem - Mistaken Identity
Jamiroquai - Dynamite
Maxwell - TBA
Paradise Lost - TBA
Screaming Trees - Ocean of Confusion: Songs of Screaming Trees
1989-1996
Sepultura - Live
Shania Twain - Greatest Hits (includes 3 new tracks)
OST - Bridget Jones 2: Edge Of Reason |

I don't know if it is album release dates or DVD's anyway....
More 'Dynamite'...

So it's getting really serious with this Dynamite title.
Well, I still think (or want to think ) that this is only working title and the real name will be something cool |

I found the whole article
Hello,
I did some digging on MTV France Diego and I think I got a pretty translation of the article in question . I just went to the News archive on the site and searched for Jamiroquai and got the whole little article. Here's what it says in French:
Here's the best English Translation I could come up with, using Google Language Translation:
Jamiroquai, it is of Dynamite! Between its dêmélées with justice for excess speed on board its Italian racing cars, and Lady Victoria Hervey, her new female conquest, Jay Kay works on the new album of Jamiroquai. The singer chapeauté and leaping crosses thePlain ones to carry out his new album entitled Dynamite. Recorded in Los Angeles at the beginning of year, Dynamite reaches the stage of the mixing, implemented in New York.
In regards to the DVDFever.com listing about the new album, yep, it's NOT DVD listing, it's a CD listing, I am sure of that . The nagging question after all of this is: Who thought of the title "Dynamite?" Thanks for listening and I hope this info helps. Thanks for the news Diego as always and Peace !
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

The article doesn't really seem to be all that sure of itself, so it would be possible it was constructed of the rumours we already know...
I know the title says 'Jay finalises Dynamite', but there is nothing in the article to suggest it has been finalised (that I noticed)
EDIT: (Oops, I thought at first the TITLE had been finalized, is this news?) _________________

i'm still with the idea that the title "Dynamite" sucks...
i prefer "shoot the moon" as album title... _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

I'm sure it's all been said before, but I'd prefer a crappy title and some kick-@ss funk then some awesome sounding title and a dud (no pun intended) of a CD.

This is getting pitiful...
We should have had a tracklisting/new site/cover image or at least some NEWS on the new album...but nothing. We don't even have an Official Site for the band at the moment!
We've done a good job keeping ourselves occupied, but how much longer is it going to be???
(Knowing my luck, we'll be getting some new news right about...now ) _________________

I share the same feeling. After 3 years (a couple of days ago, AFO turned it's 3rd birthday) we fans need to listen new stuff... see new covers... read new tour dates... feel new funk vibes...
