CosmicNews from the Mouse
Hi all!!!
As I haven't been really often in contact with you all recently, I thought I better open this topic for those who are wondering what happens to the Mouse and her family and update you with the latest private news here regularily.
Well, one good and one bad news today... :
My little son Mika (nearly 11 months old) can say "MAMA" since a few days!!!! That's sooo cute!!! It's an undescribable feeling when you hear this little word from this small human being... ... makes me soooo proud!!!!
The bad news: Marlin - Mika's big brother (4 years) was bitten by a tick. In german it's called "Zecke" . It's a little insect who bites animals and humans and sucks blood.
WHat makes me concerned is, that those little bugs can spread a protracted illness called "Borilliose". That's not funny!
We have to observe him now for a week or two, if he is getting symptoms, and if yes, he will have to get a lot of antibiotics...
Keep your fingers crossed that the tick wasn't ill.
So, there you have a bit private gossip from me and my family.
I will add some new photos of my two boys soon.
Greetings to you all, especially to the newbies in this community!!
Good vibes!!!
Meike

Wow CosmicMouse, I really hope Marlin gets better... I hate ticks! Anyway, don't worry I will keep my fingers crossed, you'll see everything wil be alright, I bet
And congratulations on Mika's first word!! Is funny how the first word of a child is the one you want to hear the most, isn't it?
OK. Thank you for letting us know how your life is going, I apreciate that. And thanks for replying me everytime I have a "moderator question", I guess I am not used to yet
Kisses. |

Thanks, Diego!! :rolling:
Hm, no... the first word hasn't been "Mama"...
For a long time he says "Papa" (means Daddy)... ... ;)
Mika, standing alone on his little feets...ready to run!

Ahhh....Cute!!!
Hello, :bm_b:
:-DAhhhhh...Cute pictures, thanks for sharing them Mouse ! Mika is growing up so fast, I mean, already saying "Mommy" & "Daddy", I hope he's next word is "JamiroFan"...hehe. Oh, I hope Marlin feels better, I remember in my youth having my head searched by this obese weird looking nurse in elementary school for ticks, a very scary experience ! Thanks again for sharing the pics Mouse, Mika is a gem ! Peace!
Checking hair for ticks,

Oh thanks for those pics! Is so lovely!
So... if the first words were "Papa", then "Mama" and then "JamiroFan", I think is a good time to teach that the next word should be "Jamiroquai"!!
And yes ticks are the most ugly little bugs I know, hope Marlin gets better.

Hello again, :bm_b:
OK, if not "JamiroFan", what "Uncle Brent" or "Cousin Brenty" , I would settle for those. Me & Bear could be the next sitcom: "Two Uncles & and a Mika".... HAHAHA !! Peace!
Warming a bottle for himself with Bear giving me a look,

he he careful what you say, jamirofan. i've been an au pair for 12 month. i can change diapers with one hand.
but yes, you are right. if you would warm a bottle for yourself (i assume milk - warm beer YUK - well, cold beer as well, but still...) i'd probably call someone to get you one of those nice tight white jackets that have the arms attached to the back... _________________ Dear Auntie Em. The only beer that is acceptable warm is Guiness.....and it has to be in Ireland...
