feels like...dy-na-mite
Well people the new Jamiroquai album is just around the corner. I was watching James Brown live on tv last night and he introduced his band and claimed they are Dynamite! I think it's a very 70's funk/soul kind of expression. I wonder if there will be a song called dynamite? I can almost hear it! I've got a feeling this new album will be very rock orientated..with funky twists and some more latin based tracks. I think there will be some big orchestrations mixed with a live instruments...definately a 70's feel. Does anyone have any different predictions? |

i think that there will be disco funk, definitely, but i dunno about the latin feel.
i think that jay is currently making the videos for the album now. he better do a good job at it, or else ....
i think it will have some "summer" tracks (seeing it is being released just before the northern hemisphere's summer), and this album has the potential to take off in the us of a.
i also think that this album will be a chart topper only if JMQ get back to their roots. |

Hello,
Hmmm...I do kind of agree with your assessment Stay_Funky, a R&Besque sounding 6th album would be nice . My original core hope for the 6th Jamiroquai album was simply: 1. A Return of the Martin Shore headed brass section 2. A mild dumping of the new electronic influenced new sound of "Syn" & "AFO", and more earthy, old school Jam roots acid jazz/fusion of the earlier albums 3. Less classical strings, less orchestra orcestrations, and more attention on percussions, and more guitar solos and free-forming full band music explorations. But those are just my wants, BDC was very new sound, whatever direction is taken by JK and the band is sure to be reveled upon by fans nonetheless. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
