6th Album News
Ola
One ideia , why don't everybody post here all the news from the 6th album. Well the news are on Frenchiroquai , but i translate from french to english to "everybody" can read.
If some are inquièteraient not to more have too a news on the recording of the new album, will know just that it continues good train, the group has already in CD stock not badly of demonstration of which a well completed pretence. With final it would seem that the recording would have taken place completely in Chillington Studio, and not in Los Angeles as the group did not cease stating to want to do it. Let us hope that the calendar is now and that the countryside promo starts in June. This 6th album is very waited by much (less included) to see whether the group will have sû to learn the lessons from its two preceding commercial failures (irony of the fate when one feels that commercial success was clearly required...?) and for much, this one will be decisive to determine or not Jamiroquai so yes always deserves our sums of money...
Ohh gosh , it's my 50th post i'm on fire eh eh eh

Interesting news! Funny translation.. did you translate it with using some kind of software translator..?
Anyway, news taken from Frenchiroquai but where is the news coming from. From which source? No mention anywhere. Sounds like an almost a press release to me - at least after reading it in French from Frenchiroquai.
I too agree with everyone believing that the new album won't be in sale until late summer but sometimes record labels/artists decide to be quiet about any release news and then suddenly they hit the big news to the public with huge power and with a very short warning..
Anyway, I'm sure we'll hear some official news very soon. I have that kind of a cheeba feeling. |

Maybe I'm just not scrutinizing this enough, but I can't really understand that translation.... sorry.
Can somebody explain it to me? |

I think that the main points are:
- The recording of the new album is coming along quite well
- Some kind of an demo is already been done
- The recording will (or was) be done completely in Chillington, not in LA.
- Hopefully the marketing starts in June
...
I emailed a local Sonymusic finland promoter and asked about Jamiroquai and does they have any news about the release schedule of the new album. I got the answer today and they said that the album is estimated for release in October.

Since three years I work on this site, I read the same things here every time I post a news on my website... please do not go on Frenchiroquai if you still think it webmaster never say the truth... ;)
by the way, when I don't add a source on my website, it is just the sources want to stay anonymous (but they are people in who I have confidence...) |

Hahaha! I understand you, Freddie!. So, ok, here´s what I think it says:
´In case some people would worry to have no more too much news on the recording of the new album, just know that it continues good train, the group already has in stock quite a lot of CD of demo of which a well completed appearance.
In the final it would seem that the recording would have taken place in its entirety in Chillington Studio, and not in Los Angeles as the group did not stop declaring to want to make it.
Let us hope that the calendar is now and that the campaign promo starts in June.´
Now... if they did the album in Chillington, what happened that made them not to record it in LA? mmm.. |

maybe they wanted to stay closer to home? i mean, some of the boys do have a family (rob is married and has a little boy, i think) going to a different country to record an album might be good when it comes to concentrate on the work but probably not that good regarding the family-life. even though i wouldn't be able to concentrate on any kind of work if i'd be in LA... this close to disneyland... but that's probably just me... _________________ Dear Auntie Em. :2scratchchin: In my opinion there is still enough time to do some recordings in the States. The album isn't completed yet, so it is imaginably that they still go over there and accomplish their masterpiece in the States.

No, no, no
Hello, :bm_r:
Well, I do remember their being a mention of JK wanting to record the 6th album in the States, but I don't think that will happen. I think they will finish putting the final touches on the 6th album at the Chillington, ETA maybe early to mid-summer, then JK or one of his associates will come to the states and hand some tracks around to producers and DJ for future single remixes or mixes & white labels, that was mentioned by JK in the Tense Magazine interview from a few months back. As for promotions for the next album, yeah June or July sounds about right, as what they will start doing to catch fans off guard, who knows, maybe they will go the "Radiohead" route, put promo posters in weird places, like the subway, or on street corners, or maybe spray paint logos on streets or something like that. All I know is the impatience of fans for the new album can't be detered, hopefully the album will leaked online two months prior to release and make everyone flock their record store and buy it. Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

I don't understand... if the album was leaked, wouldn't everyone just download it instead? I really hope it doesn't get leaked, because there's nothing like hearing all the new songs for the first time when you pop in that new CD.
It'd never happen anyway: SYNKRONIZED version 1.0 still remains under lock and key. |

I totally agree with Freddie HG.
And spraypaint the buffalo man on walls? Mmm... We can use that for some kind of promocional fan artwork for the release of the Jamiroquai´s 6th album.
Haha...I think I´m going crazy... or not?
