New remix?
I've heard there's a new bootleg remix of Canned Heat done by High Aspirations described as a "dirty funky breaks remix". Haven't heard it though, so can't really comment. Available on the High Aspirations label on 12" vinyl only as far as I know.

Well, as far as I know there already is one remix on High Aspirations vinyl. It's called Canned Heat (2001 remix) (High Aspirations isn't a DJ, I think).

I think we're talking about the same version because 2001 version has dirty funky breaks Laughing and I haven't heard about newer version. When did you hear about that?

Here are links to that white label we're talking about:

discogs
digital insanity
funkin (somewhere at the end)

Well, it's of course possible there's brand new version. Few days ago I've been listening to some New York deep house radio and I've heard a version of Too Young To Die I've never heard before. Too bad I couldn't record it since it was really great.

Yeah, that'd probably be it then. It's supposed to have a remix of a Tracy Chapman track on the flip-side. Just saw it while cruizing around some record store website (can't remember which one...)

That TYTD wasn't the Grant Nelson remix from about a year ago was it? I have that on 12" It's mostly the original version with some housey beats floating around it. You could say they've destroyed the original track, but it's ok for when you're out in the clubs.

Bootleg remixes seem to be so common these days, it's kinda hard to keep track!
