New Jamiroquai album is indeed "Dynamite"!
Hello,
Please forgive me Midnight Funk & FRA for making a individual topic for this news you have already posted about, I hope you don't mind . Here is what the Funkin Site devulged today :
1#: According to the November issue of Glamour Magazine (UK Edition), in a new article about JK, it mentions the title of the 6th Jamiroquai album will be "Dynamite".
*Special thanks to Funkin Site for this news*
Hehe, I never thought this would happen, so they ARE going with "Dynamite"! I have kept reading your posts guys, and I do agree, it is a very lame and still a boring title for the new album. I can't imagine myself motivating myself to gloat to my friend's that the new Jamiroquai album is titled "Dynamite"...it would be embarrassing. Oh well, if that's what JK wants, then that's what he gets. I just don't want to be the one who sees JK trot up on stage on the first night of the 2005 Aussie tour wearing a Dynamite shaped new Jam Hat and refuses to start performing till a member of the rig crew comes out with some matches and lights the fuse that comes out of the top of the hat.. ) Ha Ha Ha Ha...that's a funny visual image )! Thanks for listening and I'll try to post more when I can, Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

couldn't agree more JamiroFan2K.
but think about this: maybe the album will have some cracking (or should i say, "Dynamite" ) new acid jazz songs, hence the name "Dynamite".
i am not advocating the name. it really does suck. even my 6 year old cousin could think of something better, although he'd just call it "Bottom" (it's a stage he's going through).
maybe the dooshs at Sony thought it was an "original" title.
tell me guys, are there any other albums called this? |

maybe
maybe it's for the big plug in Napoleon Dynamite or just the phrase "Dyna-mite!!" like on that show Good Times (?) Anyways,a title is a title. I don't think it's a bad title or a good one. I'm not going to base it on what the whole album may be like. Just because they've had interesting titles before, this album may be just as good, and I hope even better! Just waiting for it to come out. |

WRONG!!
jay never said that!!the article mentions "dynamite" not jay
read carefully:"In the November 2004 edition of Glamour magazine (English edition), there is an article about Jay which mentions the title of the new album as being "Dynamite"". _________________ "on the bass st.st..st..stuuu zender!!" |

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Well... we've already talked about this title. But it could mean a lot of things. I put 'Dynamite' on google and this is what appeared:
I don't know what's on Jay's mind, but I do know that maybe the title doesn't show what they are really bringing us this time.
It could be a great great album (hopefully! ), and the name is not that important then. But for me it sounds commercial. If there's a track with that name... what can Jay talk (sing) about dynamite?? I don't know, that's why I think it's a commercial title.
The other ones were interesting (EOPE: mmm... environment issues, cool; TROTSC: A new nick name, cool; TWM: combination of cars and music, cool; S: good times after success and the new studio, cool; AFO: A title making a reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey, cool!... Dynamite?: Music & explotions? War issues? ) but if it helps to make Jamiroquai to have a big success, it's ok by me.
And Brent, don't worry about your friends, mines will be like 'Dinamita?? Psfff hahaha ' (cause 'Dynamite' in spanish sounds even worse than in english ).

well, I hate the name
maybe Jay has tried to do some word-game with the title, like it is DYNAMI-TE, like if the sound were something "dynamic"...
brbrbr I don´t know what to say, the last sentence is just mental.
there is no excuse, the title sucks |

I´m starting to really like the name.
Dynamite, listen and say it a couple of times.
Sounds like the best album ever. Dynamite! |

I'm sorry, wesaft, but I keep hearing a cheesy DJ saying that out loud on the radio (although with Sony, I doubt that will happen in America ) and it grates on my nerves. Don't like it. But hey, it's not the title, it's the music. Let's hope JK and the crew made some damn good stuff. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. hmm well i seem to be the only one but i don't see a problem in the new album's name. so what if it's 'dynamite'? imo it doesn't matter...it's the beauty inside that counts baby. peace. _________________ ...

C'mon guys n gals!! We're Jami fans, ok albeit "desperate for the new album" ones!! but just remember even if you don't like the title don't get pessimistic about whats actually going to appear on the album!! I'm sure once the albums out & hopefully we all love it no will care less about the title...!

fair call. but that's for the fans. we want to see JMQ get even bigger (it'll happen) and we want them touring more and more and it'll help us too!
if your a listener of the radio and you hear a new fantasticus song from JMQ and then the DeeJay says (in a deep and quick voice) "That was 'Black Devil Car' From Jamiroquai's new album "Dynamite"!".
doesnt sound rite. sure, the album will be excellent, but the name of it sells (along with the video clips, which JMQ must work on!). |
