Jay news at my local newspaper!
Hello Jamirotalkers,

This morning a got a big surprise! I came back from uni, and like everyday, I start reading the newspaper (while 5toiletpaper hahaha). And I came up with an article that talks about Jay and the kartings (include a pic of Jay!):

Quote:

Jamiroquai changed cars by kartings

Jamiroquai was authorized by the municipality of Buckinghamshire, England, to construct a track of races for karting in the garden of its mansion. The British, fanatical musician of fast cars, lost his driver license in 2003, after an automobile accident. Nevertheless, the authorities only will allow him to run 14 races a year, since the noise can bother the neighbours.

Two things I'd like to point. Notice that they say 'Jamiroquai' as 'Jay Kay' (Jamiroquai was authorized...bada bada yada); and he lost his license for 6 months in 2004, not in 2003! 2indifferent

The last months whenever we had news of Jay were because of parties, car exhibitions, or this karting track thing... he is a singer d*mn it! We want MUSIC news! Very Happy Sorry 3privateeye

In other news, Robbie Williams is now here in Buenos Aires promoting the latest album, 'Greatest Hits'. I was wondering (since this year came to Argentina important names like The Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Pet Shop Boys, PJ Harvey, Paul Oakenfold, Mars Volta, David Byrne, Robbie Williams) that maybe JMQ will come on 2005/ 2006. The music business in here is starting to grow again after all what happened, so I think we might have a chance of them to come! 5crossfingers

I have my 5twocents saved, and I have high hopes of keep finding more articles if JMQ/JK next year 2upsidedown

Couldn't agree more. it's a man thing. Cool

anyway, i'll betcha this is some news they mustve slapped in there for space filling. no wonder it is so wrong (eg 2004 not '03, and that he can only use it 14 times, not 14 races.)
