Sony Music announces the 6th for March 2005 and more
Hello Jamirotalkers,
Once again, Sony Music Denmark puts the new album for a March 2005 release:
| Quote: |
MARTS 2005
??/?? Jamiroquai - tba (Epic) |
At least we know is from Sony and not a simple rumour from a fan's page.... right?
But we already know what happened when they announced it for November. Anyway, just wanted to let you know about that.

Also, the Sony Music Australia says about the release of an album called Feel Good Mix - The Best of 2004, which contains 'Cosmic Girl' (??):
| Quote: |
'Feel Good Mix - The Best of 2004' is the brand new series, compiled with help from MIX FM, for those of us out there that love shaking it to Top 40 pop and rock sounds, but want a collection of the more smooth'n'sophisticated tracks, minus the teeny-bopper hits!!
Features the biggest and best radio smashes from Dido (White Flag), George Michael (Amazing), Maroon 5 (This Love), Anastacia (Left Outside Alone), Jet (Look What You've Done), Duran Duran (Reach Up For The Sunrise), Delta Goodrem (Predictable), Jamiroquai (Cosmic Girl), Josh Kelley (Amazing), Shannon Noll (Learn To Fly), 3 Doors Down (Here Without You), Michael Buble (Sway - Junkie XL Mix), Jennifer Lopez (Waiting for Tonight), The Corrs (Angel), Guy Sebastian (All I Need Is You), Sarah McLachlan (Fallen) and more to rock your summer. |

Hello,
Hehe, more like "more wishful thinking that this album will be finished" over at Sony Music Denmark, Diego mate ! Major Dejavu again, geez...Ha Ha Ha!!! In regards to that Jamiroquai "Cosmic Girl" inclusion on "Feels Good Mix", I was just like in your thoughts, (Looks at listing) "What the heck? Oh boy, they have completely lost it, I guess they never got the 'LateNighttales' Compilation and thought, 'Hey, wait a second, this is a brilliant idea for a new comp!'" I guess this is a way for Sony Music to weed out their old artist's material and squeeze some more royalties toward them, then in turn, have it end up back in the grimy hands of Sony Music ! Oh, enough with my bitching, thank you very much for those nuggets of Jam news, much appreciated, I feel much better after that "little tirade" of mine ! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
P.S. In regards to DVDFever and all these misc. sales sites that have release dates for the upcoming new album, bollocks to them, only two sites news and posts really COUNTS and can be trusted: The Funkin Site and the reliable mods of JamiroTalk.net ! _________________

Ok...now my next stupid question is...if the new album is released in March over in UK...what's the expected release date here in the US? Because they don't always have the same release date. _________________ I used to worry about the future
But then I threw my caution to the wind.....
Peace,

Hello Jamirotalkers,
KMackdaddy1972, I think the release date for the US won't be far away from the UK one. The previous releases were like that. In fact, I remember 'A Funk Odyssey' was released down here (Argentina) the same day it was released in the UK (actually, I went to buy the single the day before and AFO -along with the single Little L- was available... Argentinean editions), so I think you and all the US fans out there shouldn't worry about that... and of course, if you want it so badly you can order it on the internet on simply go and buy from one of those imported items stores, which I have plenty of them in here.
In fact, 'A Funk Odyssey' was released in the UK on 3 September 2001 and Japan got hold of the album a week earlier (29 August).
Here's the list of release dates for AFO:
Japan - 29 August 2001
UK - 3 September 2001
US - 11 September 2001
Here's the list of release date for Synkronized:
Japan - 7 June 1999
US - 8 June 1999
UK - 14 June 1999
See KMackdaddy1972? It was released in the US before that in the UK
Different was 'TWM':
Japan - 28 August 1996
UK - 9 September 1996
France - 10 September 1996
US - 14 January 1997
Canada - 19 November 1996
But I think with all this delays, they won't be very different.
Jamirofan2000, hehe you're right. Those DVDFever sites and stuff are not a reliable source, but they can give us an idea of what's coming.
Anyway, if the album comes on March, when should we be hearing the new single? February I suppose.
'I'm hoping you open the door and reappear...'
