the 6th album cover art? as it draws closer and closer (yet soo far!) to the release of dynamite one must ask what is th e cover art gonna be id love to hear everyones ideas and "suggestions" i reko its gonna be a black background with a red dynamite stick and a white buffalo man printed on the dynamite stick

I don't know. I think that sounds too similar to the Canned Heat artwork. They'll probably steer away from it. -Joel

I think it'll probably be some exploding buffalo-logo or similiar to that.

As long as Jamiroquai will exist...the buffalo Logo will be there...smaller or bigger...but I don't think it will vanish. It's like a trademark and essential for all their marketing..(poster, T-shirts and that stuff). You don't need to write "Jamiroquai" on all fan-articles. As long as there is a printed buffalo logo, all fans know...I used to wear a really small sticker with the buffalo man on my bag or jacket...but a lot of strangers talked to me like "Hey I saw your sticker...I am a Jamiroquai fan too". And for the new cover...I don't think it will be too simple..the background will be specially designed like in synkronized or Funk Odyssey. Especially if the title will be really Dynamite. It would be odd to have such a title and then show a "calm" cover with only one background colour and the buffalo man. May be it will show the ferrari enzo somewhere or a graphical expression of "speed". That would make more sense to me. But anyway...I like to be surprised _________________

yes, of course the buffaloman will stay! (and rule lol)
but i just meant in the cover... You know, AFO's cover really disappointed me. For the first time, Jay tooks its place. To find the buffaloman, you have to look at the side of the cd, and it's very very small.......

i wish there will be a buffaloman in the cover of Dynamite, but it may not be too....

I only want a Big buffalo man in the front cover!!! a cover that seems like the EOPE cover but with a black background and the buffalo in white... and the horrible DYNAMITE on it... if Jay decide to take this as the album title... _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

haha yeah the buffalo man deffintly has to say and i was pretty disapointed with the cover of afo like it kinda resembles jay as the only one in the group why wasnt rob or sola or anyone else in that matter on the front only jay?

i don't want Jay Kay on the front and back covers... yuck... and if he's going to appear... is has to be with all the band... Jamiroquai is not Jay Kay, it is Jay Kay, Matt J, Sola, Derrick, The Rocky guy (Rob), and the invisible bassist!! but I prefer a very simple cover with the Buffalo Man on it!! Here's the cover: Purple background A picture in the center.....that being a portrait of Jimmy Walker (70's Good Times tv series) wearing a buffalo helm hahahahaha.....I crack me up sometimes _________________ I used to worry about the future But then I threw my caution to the wind..... Hello, Well, the rediscussion of certain aspects of the new album are starting to be dredged up again . Of course, it's not a bad thing, sometimes, it can help out to refortify the original discussion. If you never saw it, I did a 5 part comic series here on JamiroTalk called "Steps to the New Album", putting Jamiroquai's bandmembers in funny situations while working hard on the new album. Here's a reposting of the Part 3# & 4# of the Series where the band fights over the album cover, Enjoy : PART 3#: Album Cover Picks by JamiroFan2000 Jamiroquai bandmembers Derrick McKenzie, Sola Akingbola, Rob Harris, Matt Johnson & Alex Meadows stand conversing with each other in a elevator bound for the 3rd floor of Sony HQ in London. Derrick says, "Cor, where the heck is JK, he's usually on time when it comes to the new album business." Rob remarks, "Yeah I know what you mean, maybe something just 'came up'." Sola giggles and adds, "Yeah, that seems to 'always' be his problem!" They all share a laugh, the elevator beeps the 3rd floor and they all walk out and head for the main meeting room. A photographer, standing at the door of the room says "Hello mates!" and proceeds to shake all of their hands and greets them. The photographer darts around the bandmembers and questions them, "Oi, where's Mister Kay?" Sola replies, "Oh...him, he's running late, I think we should hang out before we get to the business at hand." The photographer smiles and agrees and they all continue into the room and sit down. 10 minutes elapses and Sola & Derrick start giving looks of impatience, Rob & Matt converse with their significant others on their cellphones, and Alex & the photographer stare at the ceiling. JK bursts into the room in a light sweat and pleads, "COR! I am so sorry mates! There was a car accident on the A5!" The bandmembers nod sarcastically, and the photographer walks over to the already sat down JK. The photographer says, "OK, now that JK is here, we can go through pictures that are for your consideration for the cover of your upcoming October 6th Jamiroquai album release!" The photographer pulls out his portfolio and pulls out four large photographs for the album cover that were taken. The bandmembers, starting with JK, take turns looking at the pictures. The first picture is of JK, dressed in ROTSC era clothing, and the band posing behind him with a Rainforest background. The second picture is of JK alone, wearing a blow torch mask, holding a stick of Dynamite shaped like the Buffaloman band logo in his hand. The third picture features JK, again in ROTSC era clothing, and the band standing around a wide assortment of Buffaloman shaped fireworks, all holding lit matches. And the fourth and final picture features JK again, wearing his purple lense glasses, posing with his girlfriend in front of his car collection with a large smile on JK's face and a vacant stare on the girlfriend's face. After each of them take 2 turns of looking at each picture, JK remarks looking at the 4th picture, "Oi, I really like this one!" The bandmembers silently grumble and Sola remarks, "You and your women J, I personally think the 1st one is Tops!" Rob and Derrick nod in agreement with Sola. In a short lull, Alex remarks, "I know I'm new with the band and all, but I think the 3rd picture of us, the fireworks, and the matches is pretty cool!" Sola, Rob & Derrick glare at Alex and Rob pulls the snide remark, "Well, with that pick, you are definitely 'new'!" They all laugh and Alex slurs his lip in a angry look. The photographer says, "OK guys, which one do you want, starting with Derrick." Derrick replies, "Definitely the 1st picture!" Sola replies, "Well, the 1st one of course!" Rob replies, "Well, put in me for the 1st one too." Alex, grumbling to himself replies with, "Well...I think I'll go with the 1st too in addition, that was my second fav anyway." Sola, in a funny moment, adds, "Alex, now your a member of Jamiroquai!" They all laugh again, the photographer turns to JK and asks, "So, you with the band on this picture?" JK gives a perplexed look and says, "Well, cor, such a good selection, but I want the 4th picture for the album!" His fellow bandmember's jaws literally hit the floor. JK pleads his case with, "Oh come on mates, I mean I love showing off my cars, this would really make the album SELL...SELL...SELL!" Sola replies, "What?!? Your girlfriends?" JK sneers and says, "No..no, the cars, really increase my stock options." Sola walks up to JK and says, "Look mate, we, the band, want to distance Jamiroquai's look from 'cars', and put back on the backbone, the fans, so please pick the 1st picture, for the fans and for us!" JK winces, and thinks again hard, and says, "Bugger to them, mate, we all want the fourth picture, make it happen!" The bandmembers take a deep breath of air and start yelling at JK who slips on his IPod eyephones and listens to Enya while the photographer trys to calm them down. PART 4#: Concessions to Make JK slips off his IPod headphones as the frantic photographer trys to calm down the bandmembers. JK stands and announces to them, "OK, I have thought it long and hard and.." Derrick cuts him off with, "By listening to 'Enya'?!?" JK sneers and replies, "Well, yeah, I don't understand a bloody she sings, but her music really opens my mind, as I was saying..." Rob cuts him off and says, "To what? Pick the right and most logical picture for the album cover?" JK turns around and winces saying, "Cor, are you mates going to let me get..." Alex takes a turn and cuts him off with, "A word in edgewise, heck no!" JK, seething with anger, stays calm and replies, "Cor, what are you all angry about?" Sola stands up and explains, "JK, much like the Online fans have remarked about all the time, we the band, deserve a say on the art of the new album as much as you have the right to date a different girl everyday. I mean, you really have neglected the fans, their the real reason we want you to change your mind on your decision. I mean, think about, what is the first thing that goes through a fan's mind when he purchases the new album with a cover picture of you flaunting your celebrity lifestyle. They think, 'What the hell, where's the band, nice cars but what is wrong with JK?' So J, for the sake of the band relations, and the band, reconsider your unanimous decision, please!" Sola sits down as his other bandmembers give him applause in complete agreement, the photographer joins the clapping. JK turns is angry eye at the photographer, he immediately stops clapping and goes back to looking at the ground. JK turns back around and thinks for a minute. JK says, "Well, you mates are right, I have really put alot of pressure on you, be it posting messages for me Rob & Derrick or making rash decisions without prior notice. But, since this is the 6th album, I'll go with you all, change my pick, and pick the 3rd picture for the album cover, you all agree with me?" Derrick, Rob, Alex & Sola look each other, give little smirks and nod in agreement. JK turns to the photographer smiling and remarks, "OK mate, you have our pick, no make it happen." The overjoyed photographer leaves saying, "OK Mister Kay, right away!" JK questions him, "Do you all you Sony blokes have to always agree with your artists in rhyme." The photographer thinks and replies, "Yes, is it a problem?" JK rolls his eyes and says, "No, but it can be annoying, Bye!" The photographer happily trots away, JK turns to his bandmates. JK announces to them, "OK mates, since we that important mess cleaned, how about we go for some lunch, my treat!" The bandmembers stand up smiling and all walk toward the elevator, Sola lags behind them and asks JK, "So J, when is the video shoot for the 'Black Devil Car" single?" As they walk into the almost full elevator, JK answers with excitement, "Oh that, next week, there's going alot of great wham, bam, boom, bop, bing, bong, yeah, whoo and lots of tomfoolery in it!" Rob adds, "Oh good, just as long as it's better than all the 'A Funk Odyssey" videos we did." The quiet Alex adds with, "Oh come on mate, I liked those vids, I mean, Heidi Klum is hot!" Derrick says with a snide tone, "Bits and pieces of Heidi Klum are 'hot'!" The band shares a long much deserved laugh as the elevator doors close.
