GORDON "GUITAR" BANKS - Marvin Gaye's guitarist
hi guys
as you know JK & Toby Smith said many times in their interviews
that Marvin Gaye is one of their most favourite performers.
and this thread is about Marvin Gaye's guitarist

i LOVE HIS STYLE SO MUCH!!!
he made his guitar sound more than a guitar, his ideas and sound were amazing and unique.
he recorded gutar lines on "Here my dear" lp together with Wali Ali. and you have seen him in Live in Mountreaux 1980 DVD.He is playing stratocaster there, do you remember?
also he recorded guitar on "In our lifetime" and he is credited as fender rhodes piano performer on "Midnight Love".

For some reason, I have to be in a total mood anymore. It becomes painful. I have a younger brother that reminds me of MG.
I never even knew the name of the guitar player.
Thanks.
It's neat when someone discovers someone for the first time, and they feel all of the things you felt the first time you discovered them.
It brings it all back.
I am just as excited about Jamiroquai. I think he's one of the most funkiest, deepest, and soul sharing people around right now.
That was MG, he just bared his whole soul. _________________
