Travel advice in USA needed
Can anyone from the US give me any advice on Boston and New York?
My husband is spending 5 days in Boston at the beginning of October and wants to know if there is anything that is a "must see/do"; and my dad and stepmother are looking for a good place to stay in New York in December - they really wanted to stay at the Chelsea Hotel for it's cool historical/artistic connections, but it's too expensive.

I can't help you with Boston, but I can help with New York. When are the specific dates your dad and stepmother are coming? - I can meet them and show them around. New York will be beautiful in December - all the Holiday decorations will be up. I usually stay with friends when I go in the actual city, so I'm not that hip up on hotels, but I know a few. Do they want to stay in the middle of everything or the outskirts? Do they want to stay by the airport or no? How are they getting here? Flying into New York or flying into another US city and driving to NY? What is the price range they want to stay in? How long are they staying?
I got you covered with NYC honey...just email me. I go in the city about once a month and if they narrow down a few hotels they like online, I can go check them out for them. I will be there with Claudia next weekend matter of fact, and then the end of September.
Boston - you might want to ask David, because I think he's visited there a few times and may know some places.
