For me the 'best' (?) moment was the 'release delays'. It was very disappointed all the time and it has influenced my year. I have to mention also the loss of the frenchiroquai-site which is my favorite site together with funkin and j-live. |

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Good poll, Jamirofan, one of the best. But I don't know... all those moments are equaly bad!
I think the Top Gear video with those 30 seconds of 'Black Devil Car' made us talk about that a lot... probably the 30 seconds of my life I listened more times in 3 months.
But in general, the news we had about the album (the bassist players, the album title, Sola and Derrick giving us some hints, etc) were special moments of 2004... if that exists.
'Wake this planet from it's sleep...oh people... stop it going on!"

Because of the cars hahahahah...
No seriously, I chose fifth gear because of the cars....Cos 30 seconds ain't enough.. This year JMQ really did disappoint me.. I hope it's not the same next year _________________

I voted for the "Black Devil Car" answer but I had a better Jamiroquai Moment this year that you didn't mention, it was when I watched Montreux 2003 for the first time on TV with "Shoot The Moon" . No any very exciting moment anyway... |

Firstly, thank you for this poll JF2K !!! :-))))
It's just another example of how JamiroFan2K is a unique, exemplary jewel in the crown of the online Jamiroquai Jamily.
I can't think off hand of other Jamiroquai (not Sir JK alone) milestones of 2004, just a few in the negative listings, and that's no great surprise to you either, is it ???
Of those that JF2K mentioned, the ones that didn't really bother me one way or another were:
#1 (Guest bassists announcements)
#2 (Japanese Cellphone Posters)
#4 (The release dates saga)
#6 (Album title disclosure)
#7 (DVO reconcilliation - did it happen when I blinked ???
__________________________________________________
The really SAD and BAD and MADDENING points were:
* The incidences that several members of Jamily suffered in their private lives, and consequentially there absence from this site and a other sites.
** The disgusting circumstances that led to the closure of funkin.com's guestbook. I mean a joke is a joke, but it got out of hand from what I can gather. It's a tragic loss to us all.
*** The bitter fact that Sir JK being representative of Jamiroquai as a whole (and not in his own individual right) has not as yet posted any recognition or greeting on all our other Jamiroquai sites.
**** And oh yes, whoops, bye the way, never mind . . . the official site being buggered, unannounced and unrecognized and without an apology, and the frazzling of JTALK.
***** And intense irritation that HM QE2 hasn't done the honours with the honours yet. And that the British public in general are Jamiro-ignorant / Jamiro-illiterate.
#5 Frenchiroquai RIP - I am still in shock !!!
__________________________________________________
NICE (for want of a better adjective) bits were:
* The blessing that when Sir JK was booked for speeding on the A9 that he was NOT under the influence of alcohol or any other substances, and therefore was only guilty of being an excellent (and not dangerous driver), and did not enlarge or perpetuate his reputation as being sozzled the whole time.
#3 (Fifth Gear" UK Car Show & Jeremy Clarkson exclaiming 'MUMMY' when he test drove an Enzo !!!)
Thanks JF2K for humouring me, and for humouring me.
h :-)))) |
