Mystery voice from Supersonic Video
For those who have seen the Supersonic video (which i think is so outta this world btw!), there's a warped voice at the last few seconds of the video, after jay's 'digital soul' leaves his body. I'm wondering if anyone knows what that voice is saying, if it's a sample taken from anywhere, and if anyone knows anything else about it. Thanks! |

Hello there,
skoolen87, the 6th song out off Synkronized is called Destitute Illusions, and that is not the phrase at the end (I think it is... 'Destitute Illusions... right before your eyes'), but I am not sure...
And yes, I think that at the end of Supersonic it says 'Man, this sh*t is tricky'. And I have one version of the video where this line can't be heard. Is censored.
'I think he's Supersonic!'
Hehe, my favorite video...

little voice
I've been trying to find this out since I knew the video.
Some weeks ago I even got in contact with the the guy who made the video. He doesn't know about the voice yet. Seems as if the band added it when making the video-version of the song.
(besides he said that they used a blue-screen, not a green screen...)
"'Man, this shit is tricky"
I was never satisfied with this. It sounds like something else to me. although I cannot say WHAT!
Maybe it should stay as the big mystery of my favorit video... |

ok, I've been watching this topic for a while and must say something now!
When does it say that? Diego, you say you have video where he doesnt say that. It seems I have the same video.
What is the size of this video with that line? in MB. I need to hear that |

I confirm it was all shot in blue ! Actually, if you need any information about how the video was made, I can help as I know pretty much everything about its recording.
It's funny to see how it was shot and how it all looks in the end! There's absolutely nothing real in the video.
As for the voice being censored, I have never heard about this... I have three different promo videos of Supersonic (all UK) and all have this sentence and on the UK "King for a Day" single, it is there as well (correct me if I'm wrong...)
Cheers! |

Yeah Moonshooter it does sound a little like Cartman...
Trolll and Martin, what's the difference between filming against a blue screen and a green screen? Trolll how do you know about how the video was made - is there a 'making of the video' or 'all access' program devoted to it like for Canned Heat, or were you on the set?
Martin good luck with finding more info on the voice - you seem to have the contacts do keep us in the know! |

I'm among the "crowd" in the video. Actually, you can even see me in Diego's second screenshot (that made me laugh!). I'm the first guy in the corner (with dark hair) |

Difference between blue and green screen? Well, the only difference is that in front of green screen, you can use blue clothes (& other stuff) and in front of blue screen, you can use green stuff. That would be pretty much it. They used green color somewhere (well, yarbles were green) |

Hello there!
Well Mtey I have the version that is not 'censored' (with the phrase at the end) but recorded on VHS, they showed that during an interview about AFO in Much Music. So I don't know in MB, sorry.
TIP OF THE SUPERSONIC VIDEO:
In one part, when he is dancing in the virtual stage, the camera comes so close that you can see the shadow of it (against his white jacket).
