Examination of the "Time Between" Jam albums!!
buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Smile I had a idea for a interesting post today, haven't you noticed that the time between Jamiroquai albums had gotten longer and longer Smile? Rolling Eyes I know what your thinking, "Has JamiroFan2000 got completely nuts?", not I haven't, just look at the stats I have come up with:

Emergency On Planet Earth:
Released in the UK: June 14th 1993
Released in the US: August 10th 1993

About 1 year later....

The Return of the Space Cowboy:
Released in the UK: October 17th 1994
Released in the US: May 9th 1995

About 2 1/2 years later....

Travelling Without Moving:
Released in the UK: September 9th 1996
Released in the US: January 14th 1997

About 2 1/2 years later....

Synkronized:
Released in the UK: June 14th 1999
Released in the US: June 8th 1999
Released in Japan: June 7th 1999

About 2 years later....

A Funk Odyssey:
Released in the UK: September 3rd 2001
Released in the US: September 11th 2001
Released in Japan: August 29th 2001

Still waiting for, after nearly 3 years....

PROSPECTIVE 6TH ALBUM TITLE: Dynamite:
UK release: Sometime in Mid May 2005
US & Japan release: TBA (To Be Announced)

Very Happy Pretty thought provoking innit Very Happy? Jamiroquai albums have always in the past being favorably "September" & "June" releases, that is early summer & early Fall release dates. I also find it interesting that the "Syn" & "A Funk Odyssey" release dates were so "carefully" done. That is, after TWOM had higher than anticipated sales in the states, they rushed Syn into the American market before the other regions, then went back to a stationary bi-dual release with AFO for the US/UK. But it seems, the time between album releases has gotten expectingly longer, counting all the band rearrangements, personal issues of JK's life on display of the UK press, and the writing and recording sessions. I'm not saying or griping about the "Time between" Jamiroquai albums, that time is spared for me to investigate and discover more new music that will fill my musical tastes till I can bask back in the warm glow of new Jamiroquai studio material. Just thought I would post my thoughts on this, please feel free to leave your thoughts! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

well, they have gained more and more success after each album, also resulting in longer tours.

they toured to like late summer 2003 right? after that jay and the guys maybe felt like they needed a little vacation from the life on the road... then start working on the new album.
