Hi there,

The countdown begins... fire jump

buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Very Happy Oh yeah, they are showing off the new album for all the big whigs at Sony/BMG I beat you Very Happy! Wink Thank you for that news Mouse, much appreciated Wink! You know, Jamiroquai, playing for the record label conjures up a funny scenario in my head, here's what I see....

*The Crying Game of Jamiroquai (Comic Parody) by JamiroFan2000*

JK and the band exit a parked SUV and march single file in the Los Angeles Arena. They are seated backstage at the Sony/BMG Conference, they all stare into the distance in complete disarray. Outside the stage sits a bunch of overweight Sony/BMG executives, ear pluged with IPod headphones, and sitting in lavish leather chairs munching on Cuban cigars. A lowly, wafer thin Sony employee slowly tiptoes onto stage, gets behind the Sony/BMG monographed podium.

He begins to speak in the microphone in a small whimpering voice, "Um, welcome all Sony & new BMG employees to the 1st annual North American Sony/BMG Conference. My name is Robert and I will be presenting you all the Sony Music artists who will preview their new work to you. First to present their new album "Dy-nomite" is our best selling European Music Act is Jamiroqui....I mean Jamiroquai!" He lightly claps as JK and the band file out onstage to their instruments. JK grabs the mic, and says, "Hello and greetings from the British Isle. As you could tell my our static appearance, we are both humbly and utterly honored to be at the Sony/BMG Conference today."

JK continues, "We will be playing for you a brief song selection from our upcoming 6th album titled 'Dynamite', we hope you dig it." A Sony executive stands up, and questions JK, "Mister Jay Kay, I'm Flopsom Bottom, Sony/BMG chief American Operating Officer, do you have any plans on leaving us after your 8 album deal?" JK flares his eyes in disbelief and replies, "Uhhhhhh...no, cor, maybe, why?" Flopsom begins to tear up and says, "Cause, I really love you guys, and I know I speak for my cohorts when I say it would be a big loss if you left." JK gives a wry smile and answers, "Well mate, you done buggered our last 2 albums here in the states with poor promotions and bad album release dates, so piss off, sit down, have another fag and enjoy our first new song!" The band begins to play the first new song for their new album, Flopsom collapses into his seat and breaks out in tears.

Laughing Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Laughing! Now that was funny! Very Happy Looks like I'm back into rare form eh? Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Nice one, Brent. Great to see the band take another shot at North America. Hopefully, they do well enough to get Sony to market them this time.
