"The Waiting Game!" (New Comic Parody)
The announcer starts speaking, "Wellllcome to the the Waiting Game! The new game show where popstars question their fans for a ultimate meeting! And now here's the host with the most: SONY MCMILLIONS!"
Sony comes trotting out with a Bob Barker era microphone and greets with, "Oh hello everybody and welcome to the Waiting Game, I'm Sony McMillions, thank you all for the lovely greetings! With no more ado, here's tonight's pop star: You might remember him from a "Virtual Insanity" long ago, he's the 'Mad Hatter' of the UK music scene and leader of Jamiroquai, here's Jason Kay!"
JK comes trots out and sits down next to Sony, waves to the studio audience with a sly smile on his face. Sony turns to JK and says, "OK, Mr. Kay, you know how to play the game?" JK raises his eyebrow and questions, "Cor, I think so, how are the birds you picked for this show?" Sony guffaws with hearty laughter and comments, "Oh J, I think your thinking of another game show, this is the 'Waiting Game', where we picked 3 Jamiroquai fans from around the world to have the chance to meet you." JK rolls his eyes and says, "Oh well, I guess this will be fun."
Sony smiles and turns to the audience, "OK, let's bring out the 3 fans!" Three guys from behind the set and seat themselves in three chairs on the other side of the wall. Sony says to them, "How's it going fans!" All three of them grumble back in anger. Sony rolls his lip and says to JK, "Oh golly gee, they don't seem to be too happy J, anyway, let's start the game. J what is your first question for Fan 1#!"
JK picks up three question cards from his chairs and says, "OK, Fan 1#, where are you from?" Fan 1# answers, "The United States Mister Kay! So excited to be here!" J flares his eyebrows and replies, "Calm down mate, kay, here's your question, what is your song of mine and why?" Fan 1# scratches his chin and answers, "Hmmm...probably 'Just Another Story', such a amazing and vivid Jamiroquai song, you don't seem write any good songs like that anymore, just disco shit." JK gives a look of anger, just as he's about to reply back, Sony steps in with, "Oh what a zinger, don't take it personally J, let's move onto to Fan 2#!"
JK shuffles the question cards, "Alright, Fan 2# where are you from?" Fan 2# replies, "I'm from Old Blighty mate! MANCHESTER UNITED!!!" J gives a wry smile and says, "Cheers mate, anyway, here's your question, what are expecting from Jamiroquai's 6th studio album coming out soon?" Fan 2# replies, "Frankly mate, I want a return to the old vibes of the first Jami albums, and wouldn't mind if could bring the old yiddaki. Overall, I have expectations for it, I just hope you don't keep buggering around!" JK gives yet another annoyed look, Sony says, "Oh ting ting bang, another zinger, they don't seem to like J! Now on to our final patron, Fan #3!"
JK shuffles to the final question card and asks, "Hello Fan #3, where are you from?" Fan 3# says, "Japan Jay Kay-san!" J smiles, "Cool, love the Japanese fans, here's your question, why are you fans so pissed off about things concerning the 6th Jamiroquai album?" Fan #3 sighs sadly and replies, "Well, J, Sony has screwed you over. It seems right when we thought the 6th album was coming out, we were met with delay after delay after delay, it was quite confusing!" J responds, "Mate, I had no control over what happened with those delays. They were situations we couldn't rectify!" Fan #3 adds, "Yes, you could, you could have gotten that lazy webmaster at the Official Site to update with what was happening, and not leave it up to fansites to pick up the slack! We don't hold responsible for the delays, we just wanted you to know how we felt, that's all!" J nods and replies, "Well then thank you for your candor, I appreciate it.'"
Sony smiles and says, "Well, it's quite a interesting show, so JK, whom of the 3 fans would you like to meet....Fan #1, #2 or #3?" J thinks about it and replies, "Oh bugger, I want to meet them all and take them down the pub." Sony cringes and explains, "Uh, you can only choose one!" JK wrys and exclaims, "Look Sony, you may think you own me for another 2 album commitments, but when it comes to gameshows, I'm the king. Come on guys from behind the wall." JK walks over and shakes all their hands and walks out of the studio with them. Sony looks back at the camera and utters, "Uh...well...I quit!" He pulls off his tie and walks off the stage.
