Jamiroquai Info: A Journey Behind The Scenes (Part IV)
Hello Jamirotalkers supersonic white

Remember my series of posts I made a couple of months ago, where I included data about Jamiroquai?:

Journey Behind The Scenes - Part I
Journey Behind The Scenes - Part II
Journey Behind The Scenes - Part III

I've been searching a little bit more and I came up with some information I wanted to add and make the 4th part 2goodvibes :

- Jay said at the Mountreux Jazz Festival that the track 'Shoot The Moon' had gone through about three out of five stages of its development, and there were plans to add other instruments (brass) to the track. I wonder if it still gonna be as a B-side.

- Blender magazine (US) published in the September 2003 issue their list of the 50 most talentless music acts of all time. Jay is in the list, named as the 25th worst music artist of all time, and dubbed "the white, talentless Stevie Wonder".

- In September 2003 Jay won the award for "Most Stylish Man Of The Year" in the GQ Man of the Year Awards.

- Apparently, Derrick Mc Kenzie changed drum manufacturer during 2003. He used to play Sonor and now uses Yamaha equipment. Anyone can confirm this?

- The Mirror newspaper (UK) printed that Jay was desperate to duet with Pop Idol Will Young at the Brit Awards in 2003. Jay told the newspaper, "I think Will is brilliant. His voice is exceptional and he's a funky guy. I'm hoping we can do something but it may be a problem as I sang at the awards last year."

-FHM magazine (UK) asked on their web site in 2002 / 2003 for people to vote in their annual "Bloke Awards", and Jay came fourth in the "Hard Man Of The Year" category (as a result of the incident at the Star Wars premiere in London in May 2002) and in the "Scruffiest TV Star of 2002" category, he came at third.

-Back in December 2001 Jay said in an interview that the video for 'Love Foolosophy' was going to have Jay racing around in a speedboat. When the video was finally completed, it was missing some of these anticipated scenes. The video was meant to have a speedboat in it, but because of the bad weather during filming, the script had to be changed on location.

-One of Jay's Audi motor cars has been stolen during 2003 and used in a burglary at a computer company.

-Jay's addiction to the drug cocaine is what Denise says caused them to break up their relationship and engagement.

-In the official 2003 Top 100 Albums chart for Australia, A Funk Odyssey came in at number 87.

-'Hollywood Swinging', recorded for the compilation made by Kool & The Gang, was produced by Khalis Bayyan, Jay Kay & Paul Stoney.

Thanks to the funkin site for providing some of this information!
I still have to keep searching, but I bet that before the year ends, I'll be able to make a 5th part. Hope you liked it nervously.

'Whatever it is I just can't stop! For only 20 seconds at a time...'
