About recent arguings between some users...PLEASE READ!!!
So, here I am. Little son is sleeping, so I have one hour to write down my statement about the recent deleted/removed messages and the atmosphere here at Jamirotalk.
(Sorry that the message is so long and not really structured - not enough time)
Here I go:
At first some general words, before I am going into details:
Jamirotalk is my private pleasure, so it's my second home and you are all my guests. I want a cosy and friendly atmosphere here - it has been like this from the beginning (3 years back) and it is only drifting into bad mood in the last few months, what has surely something to do with the rising number of members.
Jamirotalk is an international forum. Jamiroquai fans from the whole world, no matter of race, nationality or attitude are welcome. We all share one part of our music taste - but apart from this we are all different. And that is good! This forum is independent of nationality or politics or race or sth like that.
So, if you are not able to be in one virtual room together with people of different nationality, religion, race, opinions - you are wrong here! If you can't leave out sarcastic, ironic, insulting comments towards people who are different, you are NOT WELCOMED HERE.
You can share information about Jamiroquai here, discuss with people from the whole world about different things, you can agree to disagree, but if you want to fight, insult, attack or blame someone, you are definitely WRONG HERE. I won't tollerate this behaviour anymore.
To make clear what I mean, I will copy and paste statements that have been made by different users here and which contribute to screw up the good atmosphere.
You can devide them into several groups:
(consider: it's not the complete list - there have been a lot more messages like this)
1.) abusive remarks against other countries/nationalities:

I agree that some of those messages wouldn't be bad if they stood alone. But your arguings are increasing - one comment follows and it's getting insulting and personal.
You are "Jammineapolis", "Catman" and "PietroChocko" (just to name a few involved) and you are not "the americans" or "the aussies".
Keep away nationally abuses, please.
And leave away those sarcastic comments.
Just bury the hatchet, agree that you disagree and leave away special themes out of the discussion, if you aren't able to discuss objecitvely.
Re-read the forum rules, because I don't want to repeat myself again and again.
Resepct that the moderators are doing their jobs. I agree that only deleting messages is not the best solution. But sometimes I am coming online and see again some discussion running out of control, I have no other possibility - then I am moving messages, in order to care about it later. I am not payed for this job and 2,5 years there was no need to delete messages because there haven't been insulting ones. This just began recently.
For the future:
Please try to get along with the other community members. It means a lot to me, really!!! It would be very hard for me to ban users from this site. I don't want to do it, but I'll have to, if you are not going to change something... 
I am really not resentfull or unforgiving. Not at all. When I see someone has understood and improves and shows understanding, then everything will be alright. But I don't like it, if I sent long messages and explain why some messages were moved and I only get back a one-word-answer, and the whole shit is going on a few hours later, I am really frustrated and disappointed. You can talk with me, you can discuss with me when you feel misunderstood. I am a really nice and understandable person!!! Really!
We can't change the world, I know. But we can try to live in harmony at least here at Jamirotalk - I believe that it's possible!
Let's try it!

hey  i am sad to say a couple of my quotes were posted on the post of shame ........... i think the fights are starting to flare up because theres no good stuff being posted these days *looks at diego* come on man ur like my source of all things good *looks at jamirofan2000* weres those funny comic routines i think everyone is also getting fed up at the wait for the new album but hey thats just me

are very welcome here.
If you prefer to do it in private, do it. Official statements are appreciated, though.
But no reaction doesn't show me and the others, if you are supporting my mission of reconciliation.

i'm in a really bad mood right now and this is one reply that probably will get deleted, but listen fucking close:
i'm so sick of this site, it's like a fucking kindergarden, grown people acting like a bunch of jerks and some bugs the hell out of me (IMAGE GAME TOPIC, i MEAN COME ON?!), oh and btw, i never visit this site anylonger (heil funkin).
i should add that there are some really cool people here aswell actually, davina, luvlytjej, pietro.
and mouse, everytime "my baby is this and that blablabla", good for you man but geeeez, cut us some slack.
usa is not a good country, and i really understand pietro and cartmans statements about it. everybody hates usa politically, all the people i've meet are like shaking their head towards usa. for example changing the name from french fries to freedom fries, to quote johnny depp:

Is it that difficult to show a little bit respect to other people, Phunky? Your language is adding as little to this forum as the words of the people you're condemning. So take it or leave it, but try to respect everybody here. And don't confuse a country (or its politics) with the people who live in that country: it's different! |

Yeah, but this isn't the place to discuss it. This is a Jamiroquai fan forum, not a politics/current afairs/"what-ever-else you wanna class it as" forum.
Additionally (TO THE OTHERS, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE), there's no need to turn every thread into personal fights between people. I don't agree with some certain posts/topics, but I don't f*ckin start arguing about it. Don't be so rude to people, have a bit of respect.
You've now been warned, if it continues again, I will do my best to get you banned.

I really think that the people that's fighting here are acting like babies... you're all 19, 20, 23, 25, not 12, 13, 14 year old kids!! so c'mon! let's do it like we used to do! without stay here fighting like little babies!!

Statements, being racially, nationally or politically discriminating, or otherwise insulting, will not be tolerated anymore on jamirotalk.net.
There's no more to say about that.

Mouse, Moderators, everyone,
Im sorry. Some things have got out of hand where they shouldn't have. I mean, where I shouldn't have contributed at least. I let my emotions get the best of me sometimes. Whether it be Pietro, or Cat or whoever were just needling me or if they were serious in their comments, I reacted and I shouldn't have. If I leave these things alone, they don't escalate. So once again I apologize.
This site has honestly been great over the months. Since I've been a member, the lack of negativity between members is pretty amazing compared to other sites. I don't like it when I do something that makes that not true. Im not trying to lose favor with any of the moderators or the administrators either. So I promise to tone it down, I won't react when other people bash where Im from, or what kind of music I listen to, etc. I promise to only make relevant and worthwhile posts and replies from now on. Thx, and once again sorry for all this,

Serge is quite right. If this was a forum to promote national pride at the expense of bad mouthing other nations & people it would be a different story.

Everyone entitled to their own opinion, nice or how unflattering it may be, but when it becomes even a smidgen disrespectiful of anybody or something, then I take issue. Phunky, I did think it was a little disrespectful that you would blindly share your hateful thoughts with JamiroTalk (and PM ME THIS!!) and not be civil enough to keep them to yourself. I don't know if your having personal issues, but attacking a fellow fan or even JamiroTalk is extremely wrong and goes against everything that Jamiroquai stands for. I mean, I can understand maybe 1/3 of your diatribe but think there's more than just "kindergardeness" of JamiroTalk that motivated you to speak out. I have always been a advocate of "Freedom of Speech", but what you displayed before our wasn't "speech", it was "Hateful", "Spiteful" and totally "unfair". Yeah, the wait for the new Jamiroquai album affects each fan in different ways, be it complaining, be it whining, or be it just plain unsettledness. I don't mean to get in a conflict with you mate, just drop on you what my take is. Thanks for listening and Peace!

that's just rude. CosmicMouse (whatever your real name is) pays for this site (i think), this was HER idea, not yours, so doing the admin for this AND handling a family is great. but abusing a mother and saying SHE oughta cut some slack is a horrific way to state it.

i haven't been pm'd. no stress, but i thought i was a bit of a catalyst to this all.
And now for the apology
anyways, i want to apologize to the people that i have personally offended. i unconditonally apologize to those that i have paid out or offened regarding their nationality, and made remarks regarding stereotypes attached to their country.
i also apologize to the volunteering and hard-working moderators on this forum for the extra work i have given you by making stupid/odd posts etc. ur a bunch of legends.

after chatting with CosmicMouse last night which woulda been about morning her time i apologized for all the crap and ruckas i have been involved in and creating.... i am very sorry for alot of it! im not like this in real life its just this whole alter online persona! im really a nice guy and sometimes miss understood!
but yeh.... sorry for all this crap which has been going on lately!
i think that becoz this is a Jamiroquai fan forum we should be able to function like a proper jamily and be able to function in a civilised manner... we should just say stuff it we are all here for the same thing and thats all that should matter!
