NEWEST INTERVIEW,"DYNAMITE" ADVERT AND MORE!!
There is a three page interview with Jay and two new images of him in the new issue of Buzz magazine (Japan). Jay describes Feels Just Like It Should as "...new style. If I was 17 years old and had never heard Jamiroquai before, I would think this is a brand new band. This song is beyond the edge of Hip Hop, Funk and Rock". The interview says that Jay had invited US rapper Nas to work together on a track although nothing has happened yet. Regarding the track Give Hate A Chance, he says it "reflects the times". Give Hate A Chance is also paired with another track - "World He Wants", which apparently is about US president George Bush. Another new track is revealed, "Star Child". The magazine also reveals that there will be two bonus tracks for the Japanese release of Dynamite. Finally, the magazine includes a full page advert for the album, which I personally hope does not get used as the final approved artwork for Dynamite! image:

(Looks at Japanese Dynamite advert and thinks, "Hmmm, a plain and not amazing FJLIS remix by Timo Maas, now THIS! What, is Sony/BMG Japan's promo team just learning to use Adobe Photoshop or something?? How embarrassing! ... ...")
Hello,
Thanks for that imported Funkin News Catman, really good stuff and more Dynamite tidbits . From the reading, this could be the most varied Jamiroquai album for song titles, I mean, you don't always see a new album with one tranquil song title like "Star Child", THEN political bantor storm of the 2 parter song "Give Hate A Chance/World He Wants"! And in regards to JK wanting to work with US Rap star Nas, that is a incredibly smart move, Nas is pretty much one of the best MCs out there, I was hoping he would show up in sort of a "Gorillaz" type place on one of the new Jam tracks, very impressive J ! Nevertheless, great stuff, can't wait to hear more, primarily from the "Cash for Questions" column with JK in the next issue of Q Magazine (UK)... I hope my question made the list . Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

I'm so glad to hear that, not offending the Americans in this forum, but I think that's good from Jay. That means he cares about the political situation in the world, and not only about cars and women.
My mom was so happy when I told her about that, that she said Jay was becoming her hero , so she may let me go to a concert if I get to save the money, which is really good news. JAY I LOVE YOU!!!! And my mom too _________________

I refuse to believe that that is the artwork. That's just plain silly looking.
Star Child sounds good, and the title is yet another influence from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Peace. |

Hello Jamirotalkers,
Nah, that is not the artwork. Remember how many different posters before the release of Synkronized were out there? The sky and the colorful buffalo man with a rainbow? Still, nice to see something new!
As for the political song, 'World He Wants', all I can say is YES!!, a different aproach that reminds me the first two albums protest songs!! And 'Star Child', that sounds like a great title.
Monday 18th here I go!!!!
OK, so far:
Feels Just Like It Should
Dynamite
Seven Days in Sunny June
Give Hate A Chance
World He Wants
Black Devil Car
Star Child
'You make me love you... love you with a little l

Hehe, I think the band would know better than to put their musical genius on a CD with that for it's cover...
I love those new song names, hope they keep on coming so we can have a very big album after all this waiting.
And the 2 extra tracks for Japan, how generous! It's probable that at least one of them will be an instrumental track, and hopefully neither will be REMIXES! The only problem now is figuring out how to hear them without paying for the expensive import... *prepares to beg iTunes UK into submission* _________________

We can note that Nas is not unknown for some of us
One of his track "the world is yours" was in the Jay's Selection cd and it was well rap music

Thanks for the news! Glad to see some political ranting back on the Jam agenda, it's been a while since we've seen that. I would love to see Nas on a record, he is one of the best lyricists out there, and what's more he doesn't have to rely on guns and diamonds to get his point across (cough50CENTcough). I'm getting more and more sure that the wait for Dynamite will be worth it! _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does.
